Just purchased a 51T BlastOut. Quick Question...
I have a few 51T silencers now and assuming the 51T BlastOut uses the same ratchet latch and spring as the silencers... would I be able to order a couple spares of the ratchet latch, spring and pin under the concept of simply being prepared? Being as those parts are now not silencer-specific parts, ...

Re: Gemtech LID Dimemsions
Are you threading the tube directly (the LID will hold the baffles in) or will there be some sort of threaded insert in the tube that keeps the baffles in and then is threaded for the LID? If I understand correctly, the LID in the latter situation would not comprise part of the suppressor OAL since ...

Re: 51T Concussion Reduction Device like the FERFRANS CRD
Because the AAC latch is either cast or (more likely) metal injection molded. You can see the cast/mold lines on it. My guess is that mount is so much harder the latch doesn't stand a chance.

Here's a situation that happened to "a friend" of mine... it might even be a hypothetical situation that never happened... and has nothing to do with me. It's definitely NOT me. Two forms were kicked back about a year ago for having the "wrong trust name". No big deal. Th...

Re: SPR/M4 MITER brakeout 2.0?
This is why I have a Brake, a Brakeout 2, and two Blackouts all new in the back of my safe (in addition to the the mounts already installed on guns). And if I ever sell those guns I'm keeping the mounts. I also have 2-3 pistons each for my Evo, Tundra and Tirant. Gotta plan ahead when you can, becau...

Revolvers are sexy. Not the little snub nose ones, but the regular sized one.

Re: SCAR 17 w/ 13" barrel: suppressor recommendations?
Thanks guys. So far, it looks like the options are the Saker and 7.62 Specwar. I think the YHM is also rated all the way down to 10" on .308. I'm bummed that, when I bought my 762-SDN-6 years ago, it was rated to 12" and now they are saying 14.5". Seriously? That's why I bought my 76...

Re: Do snub nose revolvers do any good with a silencer?
no. The gas/flame escape between the cylinder and forcing cone on a typical revolver would make for extremely poor suppression.

I submit all of my forms myself to make sure everything's filled out correctly and orderly, wait to see if personal check is cashed, call after a few months to ensure it's gone pending, and then forget about it until approval. If something seems to be taking inordinately long, I might call a month o...

Re: 762-SDN-6 Possible Endcap shave/strike. Off-center bore?
I was surprised how well it locks up with less than a half hour of free-hand stoning with the mount still attached to the rifle. Although keep in mind mine was very very close to the next tooth already. So with sharpening stones it can be done by hand with no other tools, So pretty much anybody can ...

Re: When did the "New 762-SD" start?
Good to know that it is as tough as the SDN-6! I had originally bought it before I knew they were redesigned, so this is like surprise bonus time. Makes sense that almost the same performance in a smaller package with more intricate design is costlier. I didn't realize there were any other differenc...

Re: When did the "New 762-SD" start?
Well, I picked up my 762SD today. My initial impression is that it's solid. On paper it's only about 1.34" inches longer on paper and 3-1/2 ounces heavier than my 762-SDN-6, but in real life the size difference is quite noticeable on my smaller rifles (10.5" & 14.5") compared next...

Re: 762-SDN-6 Possible Endcap shave/strike. Off-center bore?
Well, being unable to chuck a pinned/welded mount into my lathe to reduce the mounting collar for a better fit, I was faced with cutting it off for a new better fitting mount. So with nothing to lose I used a pair of sharpening stones to reduce the surface by hand with no guide or rotation. Going sl...

Re: 762-SDN-6 Possible Endcap shave/strike. Off-center bore?
I attempted the same set of observations on a Remington 700 AAC-SD with similar brake mount using this 762-SDN-6. The concentricity and runout were also excellent (as expected on a factory suppressor ready AAC barrel). The only difference was the mount does not back off as far when ratcheting back a...

Re: 762-SDN-6 Possible Endcap shave/strike. Off-center bore?
I purchased a 3 foot piece of 19/64" precision ground drill rod (.2968") to go into the bore of my rifles and check alignment. Man, these are straight and a slip fit. For less than $5, I can't imagine having one for every caliber I suppress. So I'm pretty sure my barrel threads and mount a...

Re: What should the bore diameter be on a 5.56 hider/brake?
I was just surprised. Seems like max effectiveness for any 223/556 brake or comp would be something much smaller, but I've never owned a 5.56 brake until now so I just don't know.
I do have a 5.56 Blackout hider, and even it's bore is much smaller than the brakeout.

What should the bore diameter be on a 5.56 hider/brake?
So I'm finally getting around to installing one of my new Brakeout2 mounts on a 10.5" AR of mine. For a minute I thought I had grabbed the wrong mount because the hole looked HUGE for a 5.56mm - so I grabbed one of my 762 Brakeout2 mounts to compare. I'm pretty sure the bore is identical on the...

Re: 762-SDN-6 Possible Endcap shave/strike. Off-center bore?
The mount and barrel are pinned, so I can't really swap mounts easily. I'd really like to verify it's not the can before I have to basically get a new barrel. I put the SDN-6 on a 20" Rem700 SPS AAC that also has a brake mount. It wobbles a bit more than on the 14.5" AR, but appears to be ...

762-SDN-6 Possible Endcap shave/strike. Off-center bore?
I experienced some erratic grouping when sighting in an optic when shooting my SDN-6 for the first time. This was the first 50 rounds through the silencer, so it is essentially still brand new. After getting home, I noticed a little copper rubbing on the endcap bore. I cleaned off the copper rubbing...

Does AAC make a M15X1RH 30cal Blackout Flash Hider?
Does AAC make a 30cal Blackout (flash hider only, not mount) to fit the 15x1 metric RH HK barrel threads? I know they make a 51-tooth 15x1 Blackout mount, but I'm interested in the hider only since I would be too tempted to put my 762SDN6 on an SBR... they it's only got like an 8.5-inch barrel, LOL....
