Re: 45Osprey Disappointment, Am I expecting too much?
one thing that you could try to figure out quickly if it is the can or host is to put in a fixed barrel spacer in place of the spring. then the gun wont cycle and you can hear for yourself what it sounds like 45's are loud unless you add some media. In my opinion, the Osprey is not as good for that ...

http://s15.postimg.org/naovw8etz/jjfu.jpg Click the pic for a larger image. I really don't think Jesse James knows what he's doing. A friend sent that to me and said Jesse James put that out as the new gun JJFU is selling. It looks to me like it's either a pistol with an illegal fore grip installed...

Re: Can Conundrum for a REPR
4db can be totally worth it if right at the edge of your pain tollerance. a 308 semi suppressed can be ok in the field but still painful to shoot at a bench with a light ringing of your right ear. if that extra 4 db was enough to keep that from happening it would be worth it. however, at the ear or ...

Re: Anyone put a can on a Ruger Gunsite Scout yet?
I have been hoping a company will make a bullpup conversion stock for that rifle. Something like a DTA but affordable and without the barrel / caliber change. http://www.deserttacticalarms.com/guns/ ... assis.html
anyone here up for a challenge like that?

AAC used to make one. I have one that was replaced for an eotech system.
If you want a brand new one the best thing to look for would be the B+T.

my whisper rifle is a ricochet machine with subsonics. Even after going through a target you can hear the projectiles going all over the place.
They would be best advised to stay with 223 frang.

Re: AAC Ti-Rant .45 can wont come apart
No its not designed as user serviceable for the owner but its very easy for silencerco to do if it fills up and not bad for someone with mechanical knowledge and tools. Thats the great thing about the booster area being the serialized part you can just replace the front when it gets full. Way easie...

Re: AAC Ti-Rant .45 can wont come apart
seems like I watched that video and he said that there were pressed in parts. The point of that video was that there was no user serviceable method so they were showing off a core. I am still surprised to see people buying sealed up centerfire pistol silencers. After a few cases of ammo, performance...

Re: Advantage arms baby Glock with can?
only thing I have against that set-up is that the g19 kit is only fractionally longer and allows use of surefire x300.
well, that and the way the barrel separates from the slide with a fully open gap along the top of the slide. Tends to blow back a few particles straight back over the sights.

When AAC came out with the new style of end cap I thought it was a huge win after years of fighting to get tight pistons in and out of the evo cans. Now I am not so sure. My evo doesnt have any rust in it at all after 7 years and my pretty new TiRant 45 is all rusted down where you cant get in to cl...

50 cal in the dense woods, a bit odd, but I liked it. Guess those guys in the video were cranking the knobs on their scopes down to 20 yards. It was effective at creating desire for the rifles. are you looking to shoot at things close or far away? The 300 doesn't start shining until 75+ meters and the 45 is questionable beyond that range.

Re: Thoughts on why this can does not work well.
A friend built a suppressor for a 22LR after being around other similar cans. The build was straight forward. Outer tube is .050" Al 1.25" OD, 10" long. This was a flat washer design using Al flat washers. The can was made to slip over the barrel by about 3" and the clamping baf...
