Re: Price of suppressors IF Hearing Protection Act is passed
The cost for dealers will go down because they don't have to hold it in a safe for 6 months and the cost for the manufacturers will go down because there will be less paperwork.

You will probably have to send them a picture of it.Thumpher80 wrote:Hmm...my lower does not have a model number on it anywhere. I just put the serial number and marked N/A under the model number. Maybe they'll take it. I did leave them a comment explaining that. I guess we'll find out in a couple of weeks.

Weight is the Least important to me in a .22 silencer. Next least important is cost. The hassle to get the tax stamp makes spending more money worth while. My Order of importance. 1. Durability: Due to the hassle of getting the tax stamp. 2. Suppression level: I can live with the few DB differences ...

E-filing a form 1 on a trust is almost as fast as welding the silencer onto the barrel.

Question about e-filing Form 1
When you e-file a Form 1, after they approve, do they mail you the physical(hard copy) of the stamp or do the just expect you to live with an electronic version?

Use the View Forms to look at the actual Form 1 before you submit it and you should be able to fix any problems before it gets sent.
