Re: aris suppressor to dead air key-mo Mount
Wish I could help you. I didn't even know Black Rain was making suppressors. They've never reached out to us for info on the Key-Mo. HTG Aris? Haven't heard that name in long time... I'm guessing it could be close. 1.375-24 is a pretty logical thread for a 1.5" diameter tube. There's more to it...

Re: Flash Hider or Muzzle Brake Under Can?
Performance-wise, you won't really notice a performance difference on an optimized design suppressor. Theoretically, you can get more backpressure as the brake faces act like extra baffles in the blast chamber. You'll see that on a can with a fairly restrictive chamber. The Omega is already a really...

Re: Favorite direct thread 30 cal
Just something to think about: Most thread-on cans have very small blast chambers. This is fine on bolt actions, but crazy horrible for back pressure and at-ear sound on anything automatic. I appreciate the recommendations for the Sandman-Ti. It was designed with a liberal blast chamber for multi-ho...

Re: 22 Nosler Suppression?
1. I recommend getting a 7.62 suppressor for the 22 Nosler. Any good 5.56 can will work, but they're typically very high back-pressure (for better muzzle numbers for marketing purposes). The 7.62 can will still give you good muzzle numbers, but you'll really enjoy shooting the rifle more due to the ...

Re: I need 9mm AR chamber dimensions.
Cool info. I love the idea of making a 9mm AR that is quieter for the shooter. I recently metered one that was almost 10 dB louder at the shooters ear than an MP5.

Re: "Low Tone"
Don't poop on tone just yet. The human ear will naturally pick up certain frequencies before others. Around 2000 Hz, your ear is super sensitive (maybe a evolutionary thing to sensitive to your kids voices or big animals sneaking up you. But not your wife's voice. For some reason it doesn't hold tru...

Re: Optimum muzzle velocity for subs?
Knowing that the speed of sound is 1125 fps at sea level, how close can you push it? Elevation has very little effect on the speed of sound. Humidity had a little, but the biggest factor is temperature. At 100 degrees the speed of sound is 1160 fps and at 0 degrees it's 1050 fps. You're right. Unle...

Re: Griffin Optimus?
I'm excited for Griffin. Looks like a cool can. It's a bit pricey for an entry level can, so that might be an issue for some. I think they might have misnamed it, though. Should have called it General-us. Dedicated cans are really more optimized for their individual use. As an all-around suppressor,...

Whoa. That Beretta is cool.
Nobody's mentioned it, but the new Walther PPQ 22 is awesome. We have a couple in the company and they run subsonics flawlessly. Ergos are great too.

Re: Specwar, SRD762Ti, or ?
So I want to try to squeeze in one more commercial can purchase before 41P goes into effect (if it does) and my dealer has two 30 caliber cans in the $700-$800 range. One is a Silencerco Specwar and the other is a Sig SRD762Ti. About $1K, including the stamp is all I can scrape up now, so here's th...

Re: Dead Air Mask-22
I think sound has a hit a limit in 22 cans. Most of the new cans can only claim a couple DBs over the sparrow. I just don't see enough in the Mask to consider it over the sparrow especially with the heavy duty running 500$. It is nice to see options in the category and I'm glad to see Pappas doing ...

Re: Best .223 can
The best .223 can is a good .308 can. Probably not the answer you want, but after a lot of testing and having access to many top cans on the market, I've found that a good .308 can will be within a couple dB of a good .223 can at the muzzle, and it will actually be a couple dB quieter at the shooter...

On the adapter, does it let you use a flash hider or are you still limited to using a brake like with the ASR mount?
