Re: Emotional support policies getting out of hand
Worse from varying points of view. I'm not sure which story is older, the peacock or the hamster. One woman claims airline personnel forced her to flush her support animal [hamster/rat/guinea pig] down a toilet before they'd take off. The peacock story is older, but the same woman was involved in b...

Re: Glock 22lr kits as suppressor hosts?
22lr kits for the Glock have been around for a few years now. When they first came out they worked best with high velocity ammo. In some cases they only worked with HV. Do the current ones function with standard or sub sonic? Is there one that is a good candidate to he a suppressor host? I've never...

Re: 10/22 Factory Threading
I have a threaded 10/22 takedown and two threaded Mk III 22/45 pistols that I shoot suppressed all the time. No problems. The 10/22 flash suppressor came off easily.

Re: Greetings! Gummy ammunition - will it be a negative or positive?
It's probably just a lubricant to assist in feeding. Wolf match .22 ammo has the same thing. It'll probably neither hurt nor help in terms of sound suppression. It will probably cycle just fine in your pistol. You have to get pretty low in fps before pistols won't cycle, like the 750 fps CCI ammo. I...

Re: Anyone talk to Griffin Armament Lately?
I haven't talked to them lately, but I did notice that their price on a taper mount has gone from $65 to $109. One of the reasons I bought a Griffin was the (relatively) inexpensive suppressor mounts. Guess I'll just buy an adapter to use with my Cyclone.

At the Richmond, VA gunshow last month I saw (2) eight pound kegs for $198-200/each. Saw half a dozen 1 pound cans for
$28-32/each. It's out there, but expensive.

Re: Moles
I just got one in a scissor style mole trap. Old fashioned approach is still solid. Find his burrow, set a trap and snap his little neck. If I made a map of his network, it would look like the veins in an old woman's legs. I put out one of the vertical spike traps and tried the "overturned buc...

Re: If you knew then what you know now...
A regret: When I returned from Vietnam in 1969, I brought back a like new condition North Korean SKS with a matching serial numbered stock and a matching serial numbered grenade launcher sight and muzzle adapter. Being in college in the early '70's, I sold the rifle because I needed some money and y...

The "50th Anniverary" Ruger 10/22 also comes with a threaded barrel. Has stock adjustments as well. Still hard to find, but persistence will pay off.

I mailed my last Form 4 for a suppressor on 5 February 2013. My FFL received the approved form back on 21 November 2013. Form was signed by Dana Pickles. That's about 9 1/2 months including the government shutdown.

Former member Diomed wrote a detailed post on this several years ago. He actually visited the West Va. office if I remember correctly. I'll not fight the "cannot conduct search at this time" nonsense, but someone else may wish to try.
