He's done a lot of work with .223 (amongst other calibers) and subsonic loads and has a fair amount of different weight bullets using Blue Dot. I've tried a few myself and they are very accurate and very quiet.

Don't buy a regular Maglite if you're looking for both ends threaded. Search for a Rechargeable Maglite body, they're threaded on both ends with no holes (the on/off switch I believe is located on the flashlight head which is a separate piece). The rechargeable Mag has an OD of 1.35" I believe ...

I've seen varying measurements for the ID of the Maglite tube so make sure you check the ID before you buy. You can check McMaster Carr for belleville washers with a OD that would work or wait until there are some titanium retainers on Ebay that have the same OD that would work for you.
