Walther p38 ready for a can

Hello! I recently received a war era p38 from a friend. The gun needs blueing and some trigger work. Also a couple of new grips. I made up my mind to make it a silencer host. It crossed my mind to also shorten the barrel enough to keep normal ammo subsonic. If the slide will let me shorten it enough...

Its a very good choice. Reliable gun. Also, it doesn't need a booster to function with a can since it has a fixed barrel.

Of course it would. U will notice a nice difference after you drill the mouse holes.

The secret seems to be on the length of the spacers. Also the volume of the blast chamber. The can is designed to be used with the flash hider mounted.

100% stainless. That thing is solid as a rock. In my opinion, if you plan on shooting it in FA you should leave the walls as they are or maybe down to 0.06" walls. As they say: If it ain't broken, don't fix it. :wink:
