Send it back - they forgot to cut the relief and shoulder after running the threads. They did the exact same thing to a Glock 19 barrel I got from them more than a year ago. I'm not sure how that is so easy to miss...

I finally got to shoot my 16 inch FAL and 762-SD combo last week (after ordering the can in January). It is not hearing safe for my ears - I tried it once without plugs and got some ringing... ...but I still really like it=) Its nice to be able to step outside and blast away without pissing off the ...

My question is this: there are a number of folks out there that have found ways to open their "sealed" cans. Tyris did it with his HTG, someone else on here did it with an Outback 2. I'd like them to chime in and tell us if the cans got magically louder when they undid the loctite. My all...

I just sent Mark another email yesterday about it. Last time I asked him about it (early July) I got this: "We got a few of the 2007 and 2006-and-a-half cans from AAC, several weeks ago. When we asked, 'where's the rest of em?' we were told it was a fluke that 7.62 cans got mixed into the batch...

Does that apply to those of us that ordered when they were first announced, got serial numbers for in the spring, and then subsequently put on the back burner? Several people here have reported receiving the 7.62 over the summer that were not early orders, so somehow those that got the early serial ...

IMHO CFL bulbs do not belong outside. Inside however, they can significantly reduce energy bills when they are placed in high use areas. CFLs do have some disadvantages, but I have used them outside with great success. I have 12 CF flood lights around my house and garage (isolated 10 acre lot) that...

AAC 7.62SD silencer on 7.62x54R rifles

I was thinking of picking up a couple of Mosin M-44s or 91/30s to play around with and see if I could get a good shooter. With so many floating around the prices are really low and more importantly, so is ammo. Would it be safe (AAC approved) to use a 7.62SD on one of those rifles? Any issue with th...

How to clean a .22 suppressor that can be disassembled.

With the recent interest in .22 suppressors that can be dissembled for cleaning, I thought a thread that discussed possible cleaning methods would be useful. For 2007 we now have AAC’s Prodigy and TI’s Quest, in addition to already available options like from SWR. Carbon and other debris can be clea...

Glock 19 with KKM barrel is my favorite. Never had a failure through several cases, and rarely needs cleaning. Great with raised sights or with a red dot sight (Carver hunter mount). Sig 226ST with factory threaded barrel bought separately is a beautiful handgun. I've put about a case through it and...

If you have a Scarab that you are having modified to take apart, why would you buy another stainless take apart can? The advantage I see in aluminum cans is the lower weight so, I'm leaning towards an Aviator as a complement to my Scarab. Of course, I could also get an SWR Warlock and take advantag...

While it might not be necessary, I prefer to have a perfectly tight lockup with the spring in the valley or most of the way down the slope of the last full tooth. At the very least it will give you the most repetable accuracy. I found it very easy to adjust. Out of my 3 flash hiders, one was perfect...

It has an o-ring to hold it in place. Also the thread-spec is Class-3 with a very specific range of thread-pitch diameter. If you have a Pilot or Mosquito, you just get the AAC adaptor. If you want it on another barrel, then we might give the thread print to the shop who is willing to do it. Yes yo...

My bet is that this can's db rating will be be a pleasant surprise. Looks like it is 4.25 inch long and 1.8 inches in diameter, which means it's volume (from external measurements only) is only 13 percent less than the M4-2000 and actually slightly larger than the Scar SD which is rated at -27 db. However, I knew some people would feel more comfortable if there was a stainless-steel shield to take the initial blast. So I made it part of the adapter (that was the only part I designed. I have Barsto and KKM threaded barrels for my glock 19s, and Evo9 combination, and they have been working just fine. 3 lug mount for the evo 9

WHEN is it going to be released? It has been talked about for quite a while now.

I have a 9mm upper with 3 lug barrel coming soon and I would much rather pick up the adapter than have to have the barrel threaded as an interim solution for mounting my evo.

Thanks=)
