Barrel blanks are cheap and you will probably change sights anyway.So I would pull the barrel and sights off of the H-D model and pack em away or sell .Then I would build it as close to a WW2 OSS gun as possible. But that's just me.

I have one,not a bad machine if you can live with the 15/16 spindle bore. The feed problem could be as simple as half nuts stripped.They were 28.00$ last year from Clausing.Or it could be some of the feed gears,you should be able to see those.

You dont have to put down the length for a silencer.I would leave 4f blank or put n\a.

If you go a little oversize,bore hole then turn on center you should be able to keep bore size small enough to be effective.I will be starting a .30 some time in the next couple of weeks.I think I'm going to try a mono with it.Something like the one that baffeled or hot guns did.

If you thread the core to screw onto the barrell then thread the tube to screw onto the core you don't even need an endcap.
