Re: Barrett M107 QDL - brake dimensions
I don't have one in front of me now so this is going off the top of my head. You now have the five ports on the correct side of the cone of the baffle, but you need the rotate those four baffles 180 deg. In your first set of five baffle renderings you had the baffles oriented correctly, with the 180...

Re: Barrett M107 QDL - brake dimensions
You are on the ball with your renderings. Just move the rows of five ports 180 deg to the 6 o'clock position and you will be pretty spot on. getting a better angle looking down the bore from the muzzle with a light I can say for certain that at least the last two baffles have the five ports at 6 o'c...

Re: Barrett M107 QDL - brake dimensions
I can try to get a photo down the bore once my wife gets home, I usually only use my phone for photos but she has a DSLR. There are only five conical baffles, including the blast baffle, and they appear evenly spaced. The four primary baffle have 180 deg notches in the mouth and they are not stagger...

Re: Will AAC Fix my broken Tirant9? THAT I MESSED UP
You should have handled this with a phonecall and email to AAC. There was no reason for you to start this thread other than to try to publicly guilt AAC into fixing the damage you caused. Would you have posted pictures on an automotive forum of a broken transfer case saying you had driven it at 60mp...

I don't think all that damage was done to the endcap in one try either and it probably popped out more than once before breaking the tool pins off.

Re: TiRant tool looks a little like the TAC65
While it is not a cast part or cheap, the Ti-RANT takedown tool is just that... a Takedown tool, not a jailbreak tool. Be careful. You took my comment wrong. I was saying your Ti-RANT tool is a correctly made tool to match a new production, servicable Ti-RANT as opposed to the photo showing a broke...

Looks to me like correctly sized hardened steel pins vs a cheap cast piece to me.

Re: 51T Brakeout mount for 7.62 w/ 5/8x24, are they availabl
I also have to ask why the 5/8"-24 mounts aren't being made any more to the 0.750" thread depth since the AR-10/OBR/MWS/LAR-8 and maybe others are being made with threads way over 0.625", mostly 0.737" off the top of my head.

51-t mounts already installed with Rocksett?
Do the 300 BLK uppers come with the 51-t mounts already installed with Rocksett? I am just asking considering those who will be using sonething other than a late model 762-SD since there is not enough barrel to grab with barrel blocks in a vise.

Re: Is this normal for the Ti-RANT?
A shift of 9" at 15yds would seem like alot considering how little the TiRant weighs and assuming you are talking about a fixed barrel like on an AR15 that should be very rigid. Have you checked your barrel threads and looked through the suppressor at alignment?

Re: Dang hollywood makes it hard to impress friends.
How about this. I had a guy who wanted to buy a suppressor so I went over to his place to demo an original AAC Ranger I had on a 11.5" barrel, it was the first mounted suppressor I grabbed out of the safe. When I got there he was out back shooting a 20" AR15 with no hearing protection on. ...

Re: Round stuck inside 308 can, what now?!
Just take an extendable magnetic pick-up tool, mine is just over 1/4" diameter at the head, and stick it in end the round entered into. The magnet should hold the round by the primer and slowly draw it out.

Think what you want but last time I checked the FET out cost was $1200 for a UMP and that was several years ago.este wrote:I think so too. However, remember that the PD/LEO/Mil cost for the UMP was supposed to be like $600. People forget that the UMP was designed as a "disposable" class gun.
