Good News on the Marlin .45 ACP Camp Rifle !
Latest update:
- Camp 45 suppressed by Doug Melton at SRT Arms.
- Went with an AimPoint 9000SC 30mm red dot sight, Wolff 21 lb recoil spring, and BlackJack recoil buffer.
- All paperwork and $200 into the BATF (Form 4, etc.).
- Now I have to wait 2-4 months to get my hands on the rifle.

For the close and fast moving target, it's hard to beat a ACOG Reflex. http://www.trijicon.com/user/parts/parts_new.cfm?categoryID=8 -Jeff Thanks Jeff, however, I ordered the Aim Point sight quite some time back. Doug at SRT Arms should be finishing up the suppression of my Camp-45 carbine, at whic...

Dealer for Aimpoint Sights ?
I have been trying to get an Aimpoint 9000SC 30mm red dot sight through SWFA RifleScopes, and they are apparently getting the run-around from Aimpoint in terms of back-ordered availability (the latest being a month or more delay). I would like to find an on-line dealer who possibly has stock on this...

Here is an interesting idea behind why we "really" went to war from my favorite Congressman, Ron Paul. http://www.house.gov/paul/congrec/congrec2006/cr021506.htm bp Wow ... that's quite a treatise on the history of power, money, and war on good old planet Earth ... including current event...

Sight Recommendations for a Suppressed .45 Camp Carbine
OK ... warning up-front: This will be something along the lines of "sight selection for Dummies". As background, I have acquired a number of pistols and rifles over the years, and although two of my rifles have scopes, I have by far been an iron sights kind of guy. However, in the a...

Good to Go !
Well, I just won the bidding for that "as-new" Marlin 45 Camp rifle on GunBroker.com (and thanks cmdecker for turning me on to the website). It was more than I really wanted to spend, but I didn't want this latest one to get away from me like the first one. So, as soon as I receive and ins...

Blaylock Gun Works. Several years ago at Knob Creek I met Dale and he had this brand new Camp gun suppressed with, now get this,.... thick wall steel tubing. The sad thing is, I thought I wanted this gun and one thing led to another and I buy it. Short story is, the gun is insanely heavy. The bolt ...

Re: I have one I'd sell, it is suppressed.
If you think you might be interested in a suppressed Marlin Camp .45, here is what I got. First of all (and possibly the last word you'll read from this post), it was suppressed new by Dale Blaylock. It has the very heavy steel tube, mint condition, fired about 15 rounds through it and put it up af...

I just looked on GunBroker and there is one for sale in .45 and numerous for sale in 9mm Wow ... that guy on GunBroker wants the minimum bid amount to start at $550 for his .45 Camp rifle! That's $150+ more than the same excellent condition rifle I was trying to buy on GunsAmerica. If I could keep ...

WTB - Marlin .45 ACP Camp Rifle
I'm looking for a good to excellent condition Marlin .45 ACP Camp rifle. I am interested in getting one of these carbines suppressed by SRT Arms, so I suppose if someone already has one suppressed that they might want to sell, I can entertain that as well. Alternatively, if you know the whereabouts ...

Bad News on the Marlin .45 ACP Camp Rifle
Well, I had a pristine Marlin .45 ACP Camp rifle all lined up to purchase through GunsAmerica.com, only to find out this morning that it was sold out from underneath me last Friday. In my other thread, this was the rifle that I was going to have suppressed by SRT Arms. I literally live out in the mi...

I will be purchasing the Camp rifle tomorrow, and will subsequently be in touch with Doug at SRT to get it suppressed. Don/quote] Don -- I am sure you will be happy with it. One suggestion -- replace the stock (11lb) recoil spring with a Wolf 21lb spring -- it is easier on the buffer and stock stoc...

Give John Tibbets (John's Guns) a call. You will be pleased with the finished product. Chad, I think at this point that I am heading towards SRT for the suppression work, however, I took a look at John's website, and he clearly does some very nice work. I went ahead and shot him an email. Thanks, Don

Thanks everyone ... I really appreciate the valuable input. JEJ ... Yeah, Doug let me know that I would end up with a SBR (and get nailed a second time by BATF), if I tried to remove the tube. Truth is, I wasn't interested in removing the tube other than to clean it, but I get the point (and as I me...
