Re: How many really want a NEW 9mm bolt action carbine?
speaking of decreasing weight, have you thought of using a 1/2" diameter barrel liner for the blank (1:10 twist, see below), inside an aluminum outer barrel, like many 10/22 barrels. Could you do this as an option? Should still be able to thread 1/2-28 and use the aluminum shroud for the thread...

Re: How many really want a NEW 9mm bolt action carbine?
I would like to see this in a 8-9" barrel, threaded 1/2-28 for most 9mm muzzle cans, and a permanently attached shroud a la the tacsol SBX barrel to accomodate a 1.375 9mm muzzle can and bring the OAL to 16". I imagine this would have a larger market than an integral as it could utilize t...

Re: My first .22 can. Liberty Essence or Silencerco Sparrow. Can't decide
Jdj, how is the cleaning and maint on the element? I'm just going to have to buy both lol The element can be a PITA to clean. It does come with a baffle-pusher tool, but still those tiny k-baffles are just hard to clean. Of course they are stainless steel so you could "dip" them or use ul...

Re: My first .22 can. Liberty Essence or Silencerco Sparrow. Can't decide
I have an essence and an element2 - the essence is top notch and insanely light and consistently quiet without any FRP. It is a bit longer than most cans though if that matters to you. The element 2 in comparison is also quiet but seems just slightly louder than the essence (or maybe it's just the t...

Re: Colorado will show why legalizing marijuana is a mistake
Prohibition is a mistake - enforcing victimless crimes is wrong no matter what the cost. Ultimately, who cares? Druggies are going to do drugs. Make it all legal - heroin, cocaine, meth, etc... spend the prohibition money on helping people who actually want to rehab. ETA: I am a physician, in case t...

For me it is almost the same question as - how much of a discount would you need to camp out in front of Best Buy.

If you can get a hold of the USA made adapter with the allen-key attachment, these are well made: http://www.ewkarms.com/zen8/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=7 I can only speak high praise for the 422 - I have on with at least 5k rounds through it and it is very accurate with a grea...

I don"t think people understand dealers front the money on nfa items for months with nothing to show. Pretty easy to have 50 to 100 k floating with no product in hand. 1700 is kind of crazy though . Not like he forced the guy to pay it. I tend to stay just under msrp as the margins are still p...

Re: Zippo Hand Warmer
I'm pretty sure coleman camp fuel (white gas) is WAY more volatile than lighter fluid and probably not a great idea to use in the hand warmer (will probably all burn off or evaporate too fast). I have one of these handwarmers, and while it works well, it's a bit of a hassle to use and I find myself ...

Forget the Nasa Engineer... it could be designed by the Pope and made with holy water.
Unless it lasts substantially longer and/or is quieter than the wire pulling gel or ultrasound gel which costs 10x less, I don't think you'll find many takers. Let's see a head to head video comparison.

Inconel blast baffle? Could you PM me a price estimate on the Femur-S? are these ready to ship? How does the suppression compare to a 9mm can for subsonic 300-blk? in the 125s?

Re: Can that can handle full power 10mm ?
I'd be willing to bet that you could get liberty to bore out their mystic (9mm) can to handle 10mm... It's rated fro 300 blk supersonic and it's a beast (stainless/titanium, ~15 oz) so I imagine it would handle it.
That's the only one I can think of. I wouldn't try it on an aluminum can.

Re: Going to Dublin for St. Patrick's Day
I was there for St. Patty's way back in 2001 after doing a backpacking trip in SW Ireland... It was absolutely insane - fun experience (especially at age 18), but I wouldn't want to go again. WAY too many (drunk) people - standing room only in virtually every bar in the city!
Have fun, stay safe.
