Re: Special Run Upper & Lower for sale

I just don't think that I could ever sell mine.....ever. Presently mine are just a part of a simple 20 inch A4 build, but half of the fun of ownership is wondering whether or not Knight's will offer original owners something for Christmas in the future, and if so, what it might be (11.5 inch E3 barr...

The pictures are pretty but they simply don't cut it. How does it shoot and how does it sound??

That is a slick setup.

Where are the For Sale forums?

Did I miss something? Where did the NFA/Rifle/Handgun sale subforums go?

All I see are Accessories, Optics, and Recommended Dealers.

Thanks,

Re: Best Mount for red dot on AK

I'm getting into AKs, but I'm still new to them and am still learning. Do the optics mounted on Ultimak rails suffer damage from heat?

1/2x28 threads on an AK?

Forgive my ignorance, but is there enough meat on an AK barrel to thread it 1/2x28? This is for a flash suppressor, not a silencer.

I keep getting ideas for my upcoming build I'm sending you.

How much do you charge to add a Galil fire selector to an AK? Do you have the parts?

Thanks!

I saw a ZK SBR on the Red Stick website that had the flash suppressor just past the gas block. Yours looks like it is about an inch or so further out than that. How long is the barrel on the website?

Take a look at the Otterbox Defender cases, they make be a little bulky and expensive but you'd have to deliberately try to destroy it in that thing. I have one on my iphone and i've dropped it on concrete multiple times with barely a scratch with the rubber cover it has. I had an Otterbox and whil...

Wow, I wrecked a rental car doing the exact same thing. What annoyed me was that the guy that hit me was hauling ass and on a phone. He was either going to hit me or the cars to my left as they were stopped at the light. I was pissed but I still giggle about the fact that I was in a rental and he wa...

Wow, that's pretty impressive. Looks like 7.62x39 doesn't lose nearly as much velocity as 5.56 when going to a ridiculously short barrel.

Thanks for the link.

Mine still sounds pretty good, all things considered. I might put it in an ultrasonic cleaner when it does start to get louder. I'm not that worried about the finish. Actually, the taupe finish has held up remarkably well despite being beaten, abraded, scratched, burned, and had various things melte...

How short can you go with a 7.62 AK and still have a viable

How short can you go with the barrel on an AK in 7.62x39 and still have a viable weapon? I know that most consider 10.5 to be borderline on a 5.56 AR, but is there a generally accepted number for AKs? What kind of velocity could an AK to get with ~7-8 inches of barrel? Is it enough to penetrate soft...

It's not always a bad idea, the expected use and willingness to dedicate that can to one host makes sense for Rob. Better to cut down a 16" barrel and not open the gas port so it won't be over gassed with a permanently attached can. Is this a service that you offer if I buy an N4 upper from yo...

I have SBR registered lowers, but I am still considering having a reputable smith permanently attach my Ranger II to one of my 6933 uppers just so that I can have a short suppressed rifle and go to my folks house in another state without having to remember in advance to get a 5320-20 for my SBRs. Pictures are forthcoming. I will continue to blast away if there is no significant danger of an un-contained failure. As for suppression, it still sounds pretty good, though I have completely stopped shooting ARs without hearing protection. When it does get to the point that it is ineffective on 5.5...

When is it time to retire my NT4?

I love my NT4 but I have treated it like a dirty whore. I have dumped magazine after magazine after magazine down a 10 inch barrel through it. It has around 7,000 rounds through it like that. The blast baffle has eroded nicely and is noticeably thinner and the hole is noticeably bigger. Even the mou...
