How to remove pinned fake suppressor to be able to use factory barrel...
Is it feasible to remove a blind pinned fake suppressor from a factory threaded barrel? Century Arms has Beretta model 70/71's in this configuration and I was hoping it would be possible to use the factory barrel for a suppressor. Would the barrel likely be usable after removing the pin perhaps afte...

Bender squint,
What is the latest info you have on the "new" Evo core you spoke of? I am itching for an upgrade if it is worth it.
Will you email me details, please?

Thanks

Brooks,
Would like to have one but cannot find a source for a barrel. Any ideas? Would you do a limited run?.

Re: Who is the best at jailbreaking and recoring an Evo-9?
That sounds promising. When you said your present work matches db, do you mean matches the early Evo-9 db? Does the new core have unique features vs what you have been doing? Not asking for trade secrets but generally the style of core for example. Anxiously awaiting the new product. Possibly you ca...

No messing with adapters or stacked tolerances, just insert the FBM and go about your blasting.
Sounds good. Cost?

I was looking for a way to attach a 1/2x28 threaded can to the larger threads of a 300 Blackout.

Who is the best at jailbreaking and recoring an Evo-9?
I recall " Rhino" did this at one time. Who has had this can updated and what do you suggest? Would like it to be user serviceable and may want to shoot an occasional 300 Blackout and even a few .22's through it along with the 9mm. As always, I appreciate the input. If anyone has this can ...

Okay on the fixed spacer.
My concerns are related to pressures. Can the Evolution handle the 300 Blackout subsonic loads?

Ready to try centerfire can but want input from experienced
I use several rimfire cans but am now ready to get a centerfire can. It is possible I may only have one can so I am looking for an all-around best bet for multiple calibers and willing to pay more for the interchangeability between 5.56, 7.62x39, and .308 calibers. Everything considered, what is you...

Re: Thompson Machine Wasp wipe question
Thanks Eseaton, I sent an e-mail to Brooks this morning as well. I have several suppressors, and use them all quite a bit for pest control, as well as just fun shooting! figured the Wasp would work well on the Beretta 21a, as well as the few takedown rifles I use. I usually use wire pulling jell to...

Man I feel for you :| Have you thought about saving for a new can like a Octane9HD? That damn thing is bomb proof and Sco/SWR won't leave ya out to dry. Of course this depends on the rebuild price. I hope your family gets better and you have a better 2013  Thank you very much for the well wis...

Since it has been a while, I could not recall who was doing this work. Thanks for the rapid reply. Will you give me a rundown of what you can do and what you recommend as the best bang for my buck? I hate to have missed out on the special when you had the low pricing. Is monocore going to give the l...

Who can do a quality update for an AAC Evo 9's now?
Since the company backed out on doing upgrades, I need someone with skills to do one for me. I have not been on the site much over the last year as my wife is going on 19 years of chronic illness, my mom is in a nursing home with advanced dementia and alzheimers, and now my dad has had a stroke. I s...

Re: Expansion chamber ratio differences in monocore vs k baf
Hi, Blast chamber sizing is not related to Baffles and/or Core being used. It’s related to where you actually “receive” the Blast (maximum ignition point) and how you “welcome” it in terms of geometry (first baffle Geometry): K’s are not good for “welcoming” flames for the same reason they are good...

Re: Expansion chamber ration differences in monocore vs k ba
An important consideration is barrel length. Longer the barrel = the smaller the expansion chamber you can get away with. When you look at commercial cans they design around the shortest length you will be placing them on for safety. What caliber in-particular were you looking at ? Rifle / Pistol? ...

Expansion chamber ratio differences in monocore vs k baffle
I am no engineer but am interested in how the different sizes of expansion chambers affect performance and how these differences compare in monocores vs. k style baffles.
I know this is elementary to the experts but would appreciate an explaination.
Thank you.

Re: Common thread sizes for .45 barrel?
There is a version of a flash hider on the barrel now and although I have not removed it and actually looked at or measured the threads, the manufacturer (Thureon Defense) tells me that is the thread pitch.

Common thread sizes for .45 barrel?
I bought a rifle with a 5/8" x 18 tpi threaded end. Is this a common size? I realize it could be turned (if there is enough length) and rethreaded but I was wondering if this is an oddball size or not. If not, does anyone know where to buy an A2 style flash suppressor in this size? Thanks eseaton

Thureon Defense integral build questions...
I will have in my posession a Thureon Defense carbine in .45acp (using Glock mags) within the week. My plan is to have someone build an integral can for it. I have not decided on a one stamp or two build as of yet as I am keeping my options open depending on what the can design is. Obviously, like e...
