Re: Found this on Fleabay
It ended yesterday with zero bids so maybe no victimless crimes were committed related to this item this day. However, the fact that he was trying to sell it on ebay begs the question of whether or not it was acquired legally. From the looks of the other stuff he's selling it may have been part of ...

Re: What's the longest you've ever waited?
14 months for my SWR Octane 9 HD. I bought it from Bryan at M3 when announced at 2011 S.H.O.T. Then waited for SWR to start making them. Then wait till they shipped to M3. Then wait some more on the Form 3 to get it in state. Then wait awhile longer for the Form 4 to go through. :( The lesson I lear...

Re: Check Your Ammo: Beware Quality Control Issues ~ Video
About three weeks ago we had some customers using Winchester White Box 9mm on our range and somehow Winchester forgot to put in the flash holes. Every time they tried to fire one the primer would back out and jam up the gun. That's how the problem was found. Sorry do not have any lot numbers...

Re: Specwar 5.56 Finally In Stock!
Has there been any changes from the 'original' SWR model to the current SWR/SilencerCo version? I saw some numbers posted back before the merger and then it was in the 133Db range on a 14.5" barrel. Which I liked.

I have an original Spectre. With my CZ 452 and some Winchester CB Match rounds (29 grain at a chronographed 750 fps @ 15 feet) it is beyond hollywood quiet like yours.

Re: CA: CBS 5 Story Inspires New Legislation To Ban ‘Bullet
The modification has allowed military style rifles like the AR-15 to proliferate in the state, something Senator Yee said has got to stop. “It is extremely important that individuals in the state of California do not own assault weapons. I mean that is just so crystal clear, there is no debate, no d...

Re: Octane 9hd on a stock m9?
The barrel on my 92 is stock, threaded by tornado technolgies in 1/2x28 and my Octane HD Gen 1 works 100% as is with the spring and piston that comes with the can. I run a heavier recoil spring (16# instead of the normal 13#) and a recoil buffer/guide rod from Buffer Tech. Just a side note, Federal ...

There is also a 5-1/2" version with adjustable sights and D&T for a scope base - I assume the base comes with it but didn't ask.

Re: FINALLY! How to prep an Octane-9?
The Octane-9 Form 4 finally cleared and got to me. Funny thing is that was approved on 2/23/12 ... long delay to delivery! What prep should be done on the can before it is fired? Nickel anti-seize on what threads other than the barrel? My Octane was approved on 02/28 but the paperwork has yet to ar...

Not sure why the fine folks at SWR didn't post this but here is a video of Henry shooting a 12" 300 BLK with the current Octane 9HD.

I'm also going to be looking for the M13.5x1LH mount. Just bought a Sig P226 Elite Dark TB. It'll be months before I have the Octane-9 in hand, but I'm hoping I have the right mounts at that time. When will the production of the M13.5x1LH mounts occur? Never. I asked several folks at Silence...

Everyone gives up on testing sooner or later. Especially when you realize that sound is not the main thing that makes one silencer better than another. You are right. I have not given it up, but have stopped for the most part. No matter how much you test, its never enough, or with the right combina...

Re: Anyone have any 1/2"-20 Spectre bases?
I purchased one directly from SWR several years ago for mine - sorry, not for sale - you might want to give Silencerco/SWR a call to see if they still have any. Mine came knurled just like the stock 1/2x28 cap and works perfectly on my CZ 452.
