Re: Question for YHM mount users, input please

Most of mine line up tooth to groove except one. That one I have to tighten the can up and then rotate the locking ring ever so slightly counter clockwise and it clicks in. Even if I run one a tooth lose as you should do when you put a hot can on a cold mount (otherwise it will get REALLY tight as t...

Re: 300 Blackout with 3-lug suppressor mount.

I wouldnt use a 3 lug for full power supersonic loads but to say a 3 lug shouldnt be used for subsonics is just ridiculous.

Re: 300 Blackout with 3-lug suppressor mount.

Im pretty sure I remember seeing that Rsilvers does, or has used a 3 lug for 300 blackout. The 3 lug mounting system is robust enough for gemtech to drop a lug and still use the system for 30 caliber rifle cans. I have used it on a 3-lug as well. Just because it won't blow up in your face doesn't a...

Re: Silencer boosters explained

Gas pressure DOES play a role in helping the pistol cycle. The gas pressures operate on a surface that actually has nothing to do with the booster. The pressure acts on the inside of the shell casing. THAT is the real piston. The "boosters" sole role is to allow the gas pressure to push th...

Re: Do these Silencerco ads seem like a good idea to ANYONE?

The people from Silencerco/SWR have done more for awareness about the legality and legitimate use of cans than any of the critics in this thread ever will. I think instead of criticism maybe you should try "thank you".

Re: Do these Silencerco ads seem like a good idea to ANYONE?

Id say since those ads generated an entire thread on a message board directed at silencer ownership.... they were a good idea. As far as what the liberals decide to do about it.... grow a sack.

SWRs website is showing an Octane 45 and Specwar 762.... funny thing is the baffle material for the Specwar is "PolyMimetic"... it seems someone over their has a good sense of humor.

Interesting observation regarding the YHM Phantom 7.62

I was at a small local suppressor shoot that is mainly used for owners to compare hosts/cans in real life. I had my Phantom 7.62 on my 11.5" Ar and another person had an AAC 762-SDN-6 on a 10.5" Ar and it was pretty much unanimous that the Phantom was quieter. It also seemed to have a deep...

Re: Why I buy SWR silencers

So instead of taking the time they needed and ensuring they have everything squared way with the new design (manufacturing techniques as well as logistical issues) you would rather they hurried the design and manufacturing to meet some abstract ESTIMATED delivery date? Picked through responses to m...

Colt King Cobra

So my mother in law has a Colt king cobra (6" SS) that she is looking to get rid of. I am thinking of offering her something for it but dont know its true no-bullshit value. No box, no papers. Its been fired, original grips, and is I guess in the 85% or up range. To the best of her recollection...

Re: Why I buy SWR silencers

If they were able to meet advertised timings I probably wouldn't have cancelled an order for a 9mm Octane and spent my money on an AAC TiRant. Couldn't be happier with the TiRant. Have no interest in the SWR stuff anymore. Just saying. So instead of taking the time they needed and ensuring they hav...

Why I buy SWR silencers

The reason I will always choose SWR suppressors over their competitors is simple. They make an excellent product and they FULLY stand behind their products. Case is point.... A while back I ordered a Spectre and just after it arrived at my dealer SWR released the Spectre2 After a quick call and chat...

He's the one that decided to sell his company. Maybe now they will hire more folks to do repair work and not have 10 week turnaround times. Maybe they won't overcharged for their products. Over $100 for a mount just to attach a suppressor? Rediculous, when it takes $1 in materiel and an hour on the...
