For shooting the animals that mess with my trash bins without getting any heat from the neighbors.

It's also just cool to have.

I vote 44 mag for bolt/lever, 45 acp for semiauto.

The only advantage of the 9mm is that it is easier to transport vast quantities of it.

45 acp ammo is heavy but it hits hard and is cheap in subsonic form. The 45 compatible lower didn't cost me much and the mags were also cheap.

Oh and I agree that 45 muzzle cans are a dumb idea. For 44 and 45, integral is the way to go.

I still don't like 9mm though lol biased.

I think the correct choice is 22LR, 45ACP, 308 1) 22 pistol can. Hollywood quiet, useful for shooting pests in the back yard and carrying in your pocket. This is my next buy once I can find what happened to LRM. Plus 22LR is dirt cheap and this is a good food gathering round for emergencies. 2) subs...

Actually, what options do I have for Title I firearms in tallahassee? I want to check out 45 carry pistols and I can't decide between a P220 compact, XD45 or taurus p145.

Trusts work great but some states follow common law rules or their own weird statutes. Generally speaking, that willmaker software makes good living trusts so don't worry about it. I'm super tired at the moment and not giving legal advice, but... Under common law you can't make the beneficiaries and...

Stupid question I think I know the answer to.

If you used a prodigy/mite style suppressor on a centerfire rifle, what would happen?

I assume the lack of a blast baffle would quickly kill the suppressor. Is this correct?

I thought the 204 was a 4000+ fps round. Would it even be safe to load a case that big down to sub-22LR levels of performance? Why not just use 22LR?

Well I asked about the ammo because apparently other companies (KAC pdw?) are working on designs that use 5.56. I didn't raise the question because I want the new 45 can. I am already taken care of in regards to 45 cans. It just seemed like an odd place to be focusing, that's all. Still, only a few ...

Someone should teach a law school course about gun laws. There is easily 3 or 4 credits worth of material there.

If importing silencers was legal, people would already have bought tons of the finnish cans due to their historically low cost. Was outlawed as of 1968 I believe. I don't think you can just go to the ATF to register NFA items but I am not certain about that. There may simply be no modern ATF rule de...

Heat softens the lead which is gluing it together. An oven, a heat gun (ie a heat shrinker) or a few mag dumps should do the trick.

Regarding warrants, that's what I said. If you have a warrant, you can search and seize in person or with IR, it doesn't matter so long as you ask and receive permission. If you don't have a warrant, looking through someone's walls or closed blinds is not allowed. And again, whether IR devices are w...

37.5k? Oh wow. Any idea what makes them cost so much? That would be such a cool thing to have. It would make car modifying so much easier. That was my thinking. If a crappy little black and white thermal camera with a fixed temperature scale costs over 10k, that colorized sliding scale display must cost a pretty penny. Kind of incredible how humans and most other animals radiate tons of energy in the infrared range but the ability to a...
