Re: Got a Form 1 / 4 pending? Call your CongressPerson
I called my congressman during the long wait for the last suppressor.. I got the Form 4 back before I got a call back. I guess I don't own a company that donates to his campaign fund.

You beat me to it. I saw an article on Gizmodo about them and wanted to ask who wanted to be first to find out if they blow up your suppressor.

Yes, yes, I forgot to put in the "except 1895 Nagant revolvers." I figured at this point everyone here knew about them.

The reason you can't really suppress revolvers (Video)
So a friend of mine posted this youtube clip on my wall, in which a guy uses a high speed camera to film a revolver and a semi-automatic underwater. I know we all know how the gas expands, but it is nice to see a comparison. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=_eUlpPY96Ok#! **...

Re: Got pulled over with a truckload of NFA weapons.
I was pulled over about a week after that whole Canton, Oh thing made the internet in a big way, so I was slightly freaked out. As the officer is walking up to the car I had my hands locked on the wheel, and yelled out before he got to the window, "Officer, before we get started I have to infor...

Re: Are silencers...priced fairly, overpriced, undepriced
Economy of scale is key. This is unfortunately, still a niche market. I may be wrong, but at the time it seemed as though it took an order for 50 SPR/M4 brakes from Major Malfunction in order for AAC to even consider a run, and from what I remember it was a one time run at that. Anywhere else that w...

13 days, check still not cashed, what do I do?
I mailed my Form 4 paperwork in on the 8th, and the check hasn't been cashed yet. The last 3 times I have sent in paperwork the check has been cashed within 4 days of my mailing it. I was wondering if the check hasn't been cashed what I can do to find out what is going on. Should I cancel the check ...

Re: Anybody want to sell me a Mkii with a pac-lite barrel?
Can you turn a new MKIII into a MKII by removing the lawyer gizmos and/or replacing them with spacers? I'd like my old MkII mags to work in one and not have any extra trigger grit or disassemble fun due to the lawyer parts. You might want to look at these modifications. I'm Copying this from an old...

Re: Newbie here, Element on S&W 2214 queston
The following link is what I use on my Element. It doesn't take much at all, the threadwork is really nice. You put some on, smear it in the threads with a paper towel, then use a clean paper towel to get off as much excess as you can. Like I said, it doesn't take much, and if you have too much your...

Short Piston for TiRant 9
Will AAC be making a short piston for the Ti-Rant 9mm like the one they have for the Ti-Rant 45? It would be great for my M&P since I bought the Storm Lake Barrel which is a little long. I knew it would be and it's a good barrel, but it would be nice if I could keep the overall length down a bit...

Do it all the time with my mark 3, and I assume you could do it without any problem on a 10/22. You get a slight sting, but nothing bothersome.Islander wrote:QUESTION: Anyone every hold the bolt with their thumb? Ever tried it wth a Ruger MkII pistol?

Will AAC offer a 77/22 version of the 10/22 Integral?
Im curious, and as far as any searches show AAC hasn't mentioned it, but will they be offering a 77/22 Integral? From what I understand from people who have bought Tactical Solutions barrels for 10/22 and used them in 77/22's, the 77/22 barrel is essentially the same, except for an second scallop fo...

Nice KAC mention in the new Tom Clancy book
So Tom Clancy has a new book in his Jack Ryan series, and on page 202 there is a nice mention of what seems to be the MK23 suppressor. He also mentions the KAC M110 SASS by name in the next paragraph. Both are listed as choice equipment for the main character's counter-terror group. Just thought I'd...

Re: Glock Disposable Suppressor
It's an awesome idea and the implementation with the qd barrel is sweet. The price is a bit of a bummer though.. what with being able to buy a really good several thousand round silencer for like 5 times the price.. And then there's the NFA. :/

Awesome weapon in White Collar
Not only did White Collar do a pretty close job on actual silencer volume levels, but they used a kick ass weapon set. A Ruger MKII with a threaded Pac-lite upper, red dot sight(couldn't tell brand), and a silencer that looks like a fake unfortunately. Nice to see shows finally doing things properly...

Clark custom mark II bushing in a mark III, and a pac-lite upper to get rid of that extra "safety feature" on the side of the barrel. The one that tricks people into placing their safety in the hands of a 2 cent piece of metal. Awesome. As for the trigger, the volquartsen sear is in my opi...
