Re: Ti-Rant 3 lug

No kidding...And it's kinda ridiculous considering companies that are rinky-dink in size compared to AAC offer 3-Lug mounts for their 9mm cans.

I have a Tirant 9 and an Hk MP5...And DAAAAUUUUMMM do they need that nifty connecting piece! :D

Re: Who will be the first dealers to get the SR7 in stock?

Could I please get a PM on the price of an 5.56 SR5 if you're going to be getting any of those also?

Thanks!

In comparison to the Spikes, the similar Noveske Basic: 1. I know it's an extra step, but couldn't you just have the finish blasted off pretty easily?

Re: Which LaRue mount for a aimpoint t-1 on my SR-15

Question,

Anyone know if the T1's FOV at absolute co-wit height would be obstructed by a LD-DBAL?

How about running the 416 height behind the DBAL? (I don't know if the 416 mount is shorter or taller than absolute co-wit)

Re: Top AR-15 System

Fantastic advice here...and spot-on. There is no "Best" rifle...there is only a "Best for YOU" rifle...and figuring out what that is takes time, hands-on experience, trial-and-error, and can't be answered by other people. Don't get discouraged about not getting a quick, definitiv...

Would the act of bead blasting the finish off have any chance of ruining the mount tolerances?

Of course having a monkey bead-blast it would increase this risk...but assuming it is done carefully by a professional?

Just my opinion, but I would like 18". When getting down to 16.5" I would start getting conflicted about just going with an Semi-Auto .308 in that length.

Sorry about getting a little off topic, but after reading all this, I am really curious what you guys think of LMT and KAC, among others, using a 1:11 twist on their new .308 rifles (.308 MRP & SR25) Seems to me that with a 16" barrel something more around 1:8 - 1:10 would be optimum. Am I ...

Yeah a 3-lug adapter would be great, but can it handle full-auto fire? Edit: was reading some other posts and someone said you can use an Evo9 piston, so does that mean you can use an Evo9 three lug adapter also? The Tirant cant handle full-auto fire, and yes it uses the Evo9 piston but will not wo...

Another quick question...Did Chris have to replace that TT after 20k + rounds? I would imagine that the shorter barrel would chew it up faster than Travis's 16" barrel

Triple Tap Lifespan

Just curious,

When not being used with a suppressor, will a Triple Tap Brake wear out? I'm wondering if people like Costa that have put loads of rounds through these brakes have had to replace them every so often...although I know it would likely take a LOT of rounds to do so.

Blowback and fouling come both from the gas tube and the chamber. With a gas piston system, you get less of this blowback and fouling since the gas-tube doesn't contribute, but there is still some that comes from the chamber. MP-5's, Sig556's, 416's, SCARs, etc. will all run more dirty with a can as...

You guys ever consider IonBonds DLC coating?

Seems like it would be a good fit and it works better the harder the base metal is.
