I'd forgotten this thread... What you've built here is very cool. Can't wait to see the new design.
Are you free to do this sort of thing at will in France, or do you have to go through a process like we do here? Just curious.

Re: Delayed blowback and barrel shortening reliability
It likes the A17 ammo better from what I've read, but seems to do pretty well with standard fodder. I may hold off a bit, but I'm pretty sure I'll end up with one. Most of the issues I've read about seem to be operator error (mag installation.)
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Delayed blowback and barrel shortening reliability
Thanks.
So I guess the balance between the mechanical delay, spring tension, and gas pressure in the A17 isn't nearly as delicate as it is in a standard blow back system (minus the mechanical delay of course.)

Delayed blowback and barrel shortening reliability
I'm looking hard at the Savage A17 semi auto .17 HMR, and don't fully understand the physics involved. With the delayed blowback design of the A17, will shortening the barrel to 16" affect reliability (when suppressed)? I really want a semi auto .17HMR, but I really don't want a 22" barrel...

Re: S&W M&P 15-22 SBR -- How short would you go?
I haven't found anything that Quiet22 will cycle in, and HV is almost all I see anywhere. To the point of SBRing a M&P-22, why not just build a real AR dedicated .22 upper? Don't misread this... If you are in the stamp game, the few extra bucks it would cost you to build a dedicated upper wouldn...

ATF routing stamp - Fingerprint form
Has the NFA branch changed their routing stamp (or whatever it's called) on the fingerprint forms? I received FP forms from them a while back, just went to use a couple and see a different stamp:
WVATF0800
ATF-NATL TRA CTR
MARTINSBURG, WV
I'm thinking they sent me the wrong forms(?).

Re: sarasota Fla sheriff dept. will not sign to allow class 3
Not moot. My wife and kids would not know how to fill out all those forms. They would have to hire some attorney to figure it all out, and probably never would figure it out. It would be much better to just have them as trustees. After all, NFA would be a lot more popular if people knew how to do i...

Re: sarasota Fla sheriff dept. will not sign to allow class 3
IMO trust is a better route. It allows for other people that you choose to be in care and use of your NFA items even if you are not present without potentially creating an illegal "transfer" and it also allows you to pass your items on to the person of your choosing if you should die. We ...

Re: Why not more threaded barrel makers?
Another example, I have a Kahr PM 9. They make a P9 barrel that looks to be the same thing only longer but Kahr won't give me deminsion/specs for the P9 barrel. I can buy one from them but they won't say one way or the other if it is just a longer version of the PM9. The P9 barrel will NOT work in ...

Re: Someone sell me on the Liberty Kodiak TK!
Kodiak TL are quiet, high quality cans. I guess it comes down to what you value the most: Less FRP, or max suppression. I have witnessed a Kodiak TL and Spectre II shot from the same host, one right after the other. From my perspective (right and slightly back from shooter), and from the shooter's a...

If price is no object, just buy one of each. Purchase them from the dealer that charges half price for transfer, because you can get great prices from places like Silencer Shop, Quiet Riot Firearms, etc... In fact, go to QRF and buy yourself a Saker in 7.62 and 5.56, then check out the deal on the A...

I understand what you are saying now... could also be called a swing radius, i guess.
The word 'rotational' made me think torque, and 'inertia' made me think of the induced effect caused by the projectile spinning through the rifling. I was over thinking it.

Re: Review: Liberty Suppressors Chaotic
I wish there were more cans styled like this... with more emphasis on the width while simultaneously shortening the overall. With the exception of mostly bolt-actions, there is usually enough gap between the bore and optic to use such a design (unless you need to zero your can at 2 inches). Volume ...

Re: Eform 1 - just noticed a potential mistake
I actually had a form returned to me (6 mos ago) for me to remove the specific identifier... All they wanted on there was the caliber. I had to cross it out and send it back. Seemed way over the top to me, but then again they may kick yours back wanting the full info. You can't second guess them.

Yes to the box 10 question. But I've never had one want to mail the forms for me... Why do they want to mail the forms? Don't know, control I suppose to ensure in their opinion everything is sent correctly. @ least 1 would let me mail if I picked the forms up again after completion. But that's not ...

Re: Form 4 box 2a question
Thanks. For some reason an SOT used my middle name on my first F4, and every F4 after that got it as well (different SOTs). The newest one used my middle initial, didn't know if it would cause a kick-back or not.
Again, thanks.

Form 4 box 2a question
Does anyone know of any processing issues, and/or delays resulting from not printing out your full name in box 2a? In other words, using the middle initial instead of spelling out the full middle name.
