Can also just drill out the bottom of a 44 spl/mag case and slide the rim under the stock bracket and slide a hose on.

Re: Remote rifle
Might want to be real careful because according to ATF you are approaching the easily converted to full auto by using a semi auto rifle with electronic triggering. All that it would take is a simple pulse modulator on the trigger servo and it would be a machine gun. No machining required. A few ele...

I used a PCM controller and a servo for RC aircraft. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vpDm1bpey4 Will incorporate it with an X/Y mount I motorized. http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o213/jmorrismetal/target/DSC02180.jpg And a wireless camera I have (center connected to 9v battery). http://i121.phot...

Only shot one fish that I have a photo of, it was in a snakes mouth.
One of my 45 shot loads killed them both.

Had a chance to play with a new rest and remoter trigger I built, thought some might find this interesting.

The one in the video is the latest from them (.22 cal), sent from factory and came out of the box about an hour before the video.

Re: Quiet air rifle for pest control in a populated area?
I agree it is not the same thing at all. Just posted a video of a 22 rifle that makes less noise than a "suppressed" air rifle, just so you didn't think I was talking out of my ass.
There could be things to make the air rifle make less noise as well as make the .22 louder.

Re: Quiet air rifle for pest control in a populated area?
The Marauder is a " choked and internally shrouded barrel" uses cone style baffles. http://www.pyramydair.com/blog/2013/12/benjamin-marauder-22-repeater-with-synthetic-stock-part-2/ It is a lot quieter than the Discovery and the discovery operates at a lower pressure, 2000 psi max compared...

Re: Quiet air rifle for pest control in a populated area?
In my opinion a statement such as this has more to do with lack of experience with quiet airguns I've fired CB Longs, CCI Quiet, and several other low-powered rounds out of a very well suppressed pistol. The sound was never close to painful, always an innocent sort of sound, but always louder than ...

A 22 CB long out of a bolt, lever, pump or single shot will make less noise than any air rifle.

Working up loads and catching brass
Working up loads on a non .223 AR recently in the rain and cold, I decided that it would be nice to have a brass catcher for the rifle and bought a $7 one that worked but not the best mounting system, so another $10 for a QD mount off of eBay and a 3/8 strip of 1/8" steel and I had found a use ...

Re: 458 SOCOM Question
The only reason I had to open up the die was because for the 458 to activate the powder measure using the "A" funnel, it had to go up into the die. The base of a 458 socom case is a larger OD than the ID on the die. A longer powder funnel would work so the base of the case doesn't need to ...

Re: 458 SOCOM Question
I use the "A" powder funnel (same one I use for .223) and at the end of the die there is a little ridge that keeps the powder funnel from falling out I had to bore it out, stock it's .530 ID I bored it to .550.
Works great.

Auto 300 blackout cutter
Had a few hours after supper tonight and threw together another idea I had.
Looks like it will cut down 2880/hr .223 cases to be final trimmed for 300 blk.
