Element 2 Body threading off mount?

I was shooting my recently transferred Element 2 this weekend for the first time. Went to remove the suppressor after only 50rnds and the body of the suppressor threaded off first. Can was barely warm to the touch. What would you guys recommend as a fix for this? Would Loctite 242 be enough or shoul...

Wow, I thought there would be some out in the wild by now. Does anyone know who's making the Silco barrels at least?

Silencerco Barrels?

Has anyone received one yet and had a chance to test it? Just wanting to know if they lock up tight and function ok. I sold all my Storm Lakes as I wasn't a fan of the Gap and the threads weren't real tight. KKMs I've found are much better in both regards just not available in black finish. Hoping t...

Octane 45 on 45ACP Full Auto

I know at least a few people have considered this. I chose to go Octane 45 for flexibility vs something like a Viper or a CAC 45. I'm glad I did as the performance is pretty impressive on it and my Glock 21. In person it just sounds like a rapid "clack clack" of metal slapping. Enjoy the v...

Re: Raised sights for suppressed Glock?

I am running an Octane 9 on a 17 and 19. If you want to see the sights over the can you would need taller "suppressor" sights. I bought my Ameriglos before my Octane came home and I'm sorry I did. Honestly I don't see a huge difference in accuracy vs sighting through the can using normal h...

Octane 45 - Full Auto Rated? Recomendations?

Yeah the Octane 45 is full auto rated but what are the common sense recommendations to make sure I don't destroy the thing? AKA What can I do to it just shy of actually damaging it....

Thank you speedy, that sounds like a fix. Does anyone have the P/N for viton o-rings that would work on 1/2x28?

Thread Protectors - Just will not stay tight.

So now I have a few threaded barrels and while my 22 hosts have proven to be a non-issue as both have a large shoulder they lock up to. Every one of my centerfire pistols will not keep a thread protector on. Does anyone have a good option that wouldn't gunk up the threads? (aka no teflon tape or loc...

$75 here and $50 for additional at the same time. That and it's an indoor range so I shoot it when I want. Can't complain.

762 Saker vs Specwar Accuracy

I haven't heard much on the core technology you guys went with in the Saker. I'm looking for a suppressor that would do duty primarily on 16" 223, 16" 308 Bolt and 22" 260 Bolt guns. Accuracy would be very important to me and I'm wondering which would be the most ideal. I know the Spe...

Re: New Octane 9 baffle strike! Input needed.

Had this happen on my Octane 9 while still in NFA jail during a visitation. Silencerco will take care of you beyond expectations I'm sure. Mine turned out to be an out of spec FACTORY threaded barrel. Went to Storm Lake barrels on all my suppressed pistols. They stay tight for a full mag no problem ...

Same here... Should have been approved this week or next. Wonder if the Fed. Govt. is still collecting taxes for these shutdown days since no services are being provided

Re: 9mm Octane 2 HD, is 147 quieter than 115?

115-- 147... sub sonic doesn't matter, Why would it not matter between 115 gr and 147 gr? 147 grain is quieter if its staying subsonic... I think what Tango is saying is as long as the round is sub-sonic 115gr-147gr doesn't matter. It's not the bullet profile, weight, etc.. it's all the speed. That...

Re: Best 300 BLK SBR barrel length? 8", 9" , 10"?

8.2 or 9 are ideal. I went with the old Noveske 8". With the SDN-6 it's still compact enough I use it from a tree stand for Deer. Accuracy at 100yard is 1" using a 4moa T1 so I don't see that hurting it any either. Velocities are down just a bit from 16" book values but nothing like y...

Re: Need help choosing a new suppressed SWAT rifle

If you are looking for a lightweight solution with less blowback you might consider a DI setup with a switched gas system like Noveske's Switchblock uppers. I shoot a 10.5 with no switch, SDN-6 and a Gasbuster and still get a ton of gas back, just not in the eyes. Also be wary of piston guns. I've s...
