Yea, that's probably a cover to protect the military bases from being photographed in Long Beach, and the officer didn't get the heads up.

Re: New CCI Quiet-22 LR - 710 fps
I have tested the CCI Quiet in one of my semi-auto Remington 550-1's, and only had one failure to cycle in 16 rounds - do believe that one round was a bit short on powder. This piece will cycle standard .22 shorts, with little or no noise. It too has a 24" barrel w/floating chamber, the patente...

Re: Searching for a .22 pump, bolt, lever, auto that will shoot shorts & LR
I have a Remington Model 34 bolt action that shoots shorts, longs & long rifle rounds interchangeably, also have several Remington 550-1's semi's that will handle those sizes. These guns have a floating chamber and feed all three rounds. Best kept secret: you don't even need a can on a 550-1 w/2...

I got my Sig P229 threaded barrel from SIG. It came with the package (also night sites) when I bought the weapon. I must say, this is the most accurate handgun I have ever fired.

I think that you could have the threaded barrel with a silver-soldered HK 3 point lug. In the last awb, that was a common work-around.

Threaded barrels on handguns will be prohibited w/Obama g.c.
Wanted to remind our younger readers that threaded barrels on handguns were probibited on semi-automatic handguns with the expired AWB, any you can bet the new law (we won't be able to stop it) will contain that language. I would move to purchase this week, because there will be a panic after Christ...

Re: The Walther should come with a face mask.
I never did like the extended barrel. I bought the short barrel from Smith and never looked back. I have a like new conversion from 3 1/2' to 5" barrel (all parts) that I will let go for $100... Good riddance!
I haven't had a single jam with the short barrel.

Re: who makes adapters for yhm threaded 7.62s?
I second the TROSUSA recommendation. I have a drawer full of adapters, and the TROSUSA are the superior/quality designs. I have an adapter on a HK G3 and an AR, both made by TROSUSA. They look so good that I leave them on and have purchased 5/8-24 muzzle brakes for both rifles. These adapters no onl...

Sorry, one additional accolade, TROS adapters are sent with thread protectors. If you allow twenty bucks for the value of the thread protector, the price of the adapters is less than any competitor: fifty bucks

Re: I need a 1/2x36 to 5/8x24 adapter....where?
I would not even consider an adapter not made by TROS. I have more than 8 varous adapters, and I can say that TROS is head and shoulders above the rest. I use one on a G-3 / C93 (M15x1 - 5/8-24) and another on AR (1/2 - 5/8-24) with my AAC Cyclone. The threads are a smooth (2A) tolerance and screw o...

Re: Just bought a 22/45 threaded barrel model. Just thought
That's a good looking rig, wragarand! That's just the setup I'm looking for. Can't see over the tube with my P22 and that's frustrating. One thing I like about your rig is that the top is pre-drilled for a scope mount, so you can add the ruger rail at any time.

Ed's Guns had the Mark III w/threaded barrel, one with sights, and the other with rails, both for 329 each at the Dixie Claissics gunshow in Charlotte this weekend. Can't decide which one to buy as I would like to know how much of the sight picture a 1" dia suppressor would cover. wragarand, ca...

Go to any local gunshow and you'll find suppressors being sold. Most of them can get your trust for an additional 30 dollars. The three in my gun safe were bought at Charlotte/Concord gunshows.

I did this with my first form 1 build. One of the reasons for silencer possession in North Carolina is R&D; well I did some one-off R&D. I had tig-welded a Swagelok stainless steel 2” end cap that is used in the food manufacturing business to the corresponding 2” tube, and it had a perpendic...

Gun Trust to hold bank stock inheritance
I have a question about my gun trust for RKI. Last year obama assumed control of the student loan program. I had a daughter that was a freshman at NC State and she was able to get several low-ticket grants and other assistance that came to about 5k semester. We recently got our FAFSA eligibility and...
