Re: Liberty Patriot and Essence on the meter..
Why would Dave release a Essence for testing before it was ready for prime time? Now the terrible numbers are out to confuse everyone including me. It doesn't make any sense to me. I would think that the prototype core would have been the same as the TL but in titanium and need very little change. D...

Re: Liberty Patriot and Essence on the meter..
I just saw the latest meter test results for the new Liberty 22lr Essence on a Paclite 4.5" with CCI standard velocity ammo. It had a first round pop of 129 db and averaged 121 db. It did much worse than the Kodiak TL. How can that be? It has the same core design just in titanium. I expected it...

Re: .44 Magnum Rifle Questions?
Does anyone like their Johns Guns suppressed Ruger 77/44? The baffles come out of the end so it is partially cleanable. The expansion chamber around the barrel and barrel ports are not accessable because the tube is not removable. How important is it to clean these areas when shooting lead cast bulle...

Re: Liberty Patriot and Essence on the meter..
Which liberty 22lr suppressor sounded better, the Kodiak TL or Essense? Did you test them on a rifle? Does the coating on the Essense make it easier to take apart and clean and the tube more resistant to damage ? Do you feel the difference in weight of 2 oz worth the extra $100.00 for the 95% titani...

I would rather cut my own dick off and use it for a can over AWC. Surefire is good but at that price get the AAC and you get safety from the welded core and awesome suppression...plus that PING! I can hear my bolt hit the buffer when I shoot my SPR/M4. No s--t but I own each and love my Surefire ca...

Re: My first venture into 'silencing' proves dissapointing
If you ever decide to get a suppressor for the GSG-5 make sure you check out the Quicksilver Manufacturing GSG-5 suppressor. It is a great design. You do not have to thread the barrel, savins you the threading cost. It uses the internal threads of the front sight frame area that the fake suppressor ...

Re: Which one, Element or Spectre?
Was the aviator pure awesome before or after the Liberty retrofit? If it is awesome after the retrofit this sound like an endorsement for the Liberty Kodiak or Kodiak TL. You now have an aluminum tube with a Kodiak monocore. Its the Kodiak monocore in your tube doing all the suppresion. The Kodiak T...

Re: Which one, Element or Spectre?
If your rifle is a CZ 452 American factory threaded 16" rifle it is threaded 1/2 x 20. You can get an Spectre with a 1/2 x20 threaded endcap from SWR so you can use it without an 1/2 x20 to 1/2 x28 adapter. You can get it 1/x20 or 1/2 x 28 from SWR. The fewer threaded joints the better for alig...

Re: 9mm test finished over there.
AAC helped to create the GemtAACx and now uses it as an excuse to void all previous warrenties. Kevin the president of AAC even uses this web site to fib and say the BATF now prevents him from being able to service your suppressor. Just be a man and say I cannot be bothered to reopen a service depar...

Re: 9mm test finished over there.
It is called the Gemtax because Gemtech like a big crybaby complained to the BATF about the AAC illegal activity of recreating another manufacturers suppressor ( AAC recreated a prerexisting Gemtec suppressor by putting Gemtecs name and serial number on an AAC tube and destroying the origional tube)...

Re: 9mm test finished over there.
AAC when they started they offered an excellent warrenty to upgrade for 1/2 price with no $200 tax needed. They did this to boost sales and this warrenty had significant value to the purchaser if they ever wanted an upgrade. You bought the can knowing it would never be obselete. When AAC was a young...

Has anyone tested the Liberty Kodiak TL with a meter or side by side with any other suppressors? Is it quieter than the stainless Kodiak as advertised? The stainless Kodiak tested very close to the aluminum Prodigy on both a pistol and rifle and is the same price. If the Kodiak TL is really quieter ...

In 2005 there was no silencer research tests or silencer forums that I knew to read. I read Al Paulson's books multiple times and bought every magazine that had a silencer review written by him. He reviewed almost every AAC suppressor in what appeared to be a very scientific testing format and gave ...

How can you say AAC has a great warrenty and customer service like SWR and Silencerco. If your silencer gets loud from use, SWR and Silencerco will rebuild it for you. AAC will not rebuild their silencers. You are stuck buying a new suppresor from them at a discount but with a new $200 tax. How is t...

Element Tube
I was told yesterday that when the Element tube was analyzed it tested to be 4140 steel. I just googled 4140 steel and read that it is attacked by acetic acid at any concentration and after reading this it appears that anyone who has any knowledge of metals, which AAC SHOULD, would know that the tub...

I would be upset also if I had already bought a Element tube that cannot be dipped. When I called AAC in the past I was told you could dip the tube and that it was some type of special alloy. After talking to a chemist about how to do the dipping safely and effectively the AAC answer did not make an...

AAC Element Tube
I have been told that aecetic acid and peroxide will damage carbon steel and cause pitting and that the only steel that is safe from damage is stainless steel. I was warned not to store the solution in a steel paint can because it will eat a hole in it.

AAC Element Tube
What kind of steel is the AAC Element tube made of? On their web site they state the baffles are stainless but make a point of not calling the tube stainless. If the tube is not stainless or titanium how can it be safe to repeatedly dip the tube to clean it? Why didn't they just use titanium for the...

Some of the Gemtec suppressors are similar, do they have anything that wil...

1/2 x28 piston for evo 40 for 9mm barrel
How did you attach the evo 40 to your 9mm glock for testing? Did you have a 1/2 x28 piston for the 40 evo or a glock barrel threaded for a standard 40 piston ? Will the new tirant 9mm 1/2 x28 piston fit in the evo 40, since they are both 1 3/8" in diameter suppressor tubes , allowing it to fit ...
