Re: Skating Rink Bans Muslim Head Scarves

She said they don't just fly off. So I guess she wants an exception for people who are sure their hats don't easily fly off. On the other hand, she was just visiting a kids party and said she was not going to skate. At our rink, the party area was seperated from the skating floor by a good 30 feet ...

Re: Skating Rink Bans Muslim Head Scarves

When I worked as a rink guard back in the eighties, no hats or scarves were allowed on the skating floor. The rule was to prevent them from tripping anyone up should they come off of the wearer. We sure as heck weren't concerned about muslims or any particular group here in the south, just keeping s...

Re: Headshots on deer - is that a smart thing to do?

I had to rely on a headshot tonight with my 1911 to kill off a deer... of course, it was because someone had hit it driving by and knocked it up into my drive. They didn't even stop, so I went out & put it out of it's suffering. I still can't believe they didn't even bother to stop.

Re: hughes amendment gets 86'd, whats the first machinegun u

Afraid I'd have to go for the "make" as opposed to the "buy"; M16 lower all the way! It's hard to make an easier MG than drilling & swapping out a few parts after geting the approved form 1 back. It'd give me yet another FA beltfed to enjoy with my Razorback .22 upper....

Mine was approved almost four months to the day after it was sent in; E. Ann Feltner was the examiner who signed off on it.

Exactly- I don't know why my post was so cryptic, as I thought I had written that out. I guess I must have gotten distracted when typing... sorry!

Don't forget to give them a bucket of pig's blood to tortutre him with- long, drawn-out mental games interspersed with physical abuse is still better than he deserves!

This is an idea whose time has come- we need to get folks past the idea that hunting supressed = poaching and make them aware of the benefits it offers not only to the hunter (reduced hearing loss, better situational awareness by not having to wear plugs, etc.) but also to the environment and genera...

thanks for the thumbnails, seems as if the links are not working though... I'll have to try it on a different computer, they are working for me even in your quote. someone said atari 2600 and commodore 64...in for pics. Here's the SX-64 and the Atari 2600 pics; the C-64 and all of it's associated peripherals will take more time to dig out. They take up so much more space that they have to be stored in a different location. 8) http://thumbnails27.imagebam.com/...

Goolge autodesk and you can download trial versions of autocad that will work for 30 days once you install it, that way you can figure out how to use the program and see if you are interested in buying it because you can get autocad LT and student versions fairly cheap, I my self just got the new a...

Re: Guns in video games

True. I never had the original. But I did have a C64, just didn't have the old Castle Wolfenstein for it. If I remember correctly, the graphics looked like the old Wizard of Wor game. (If I'm going to show my age, I may as well say it... I'm 35... and I'm a geek.) No worries- I've still got a C64 w...

Me too. I remember playing the original Wolfenstien in high-school computer class to the point where I wanted to push against every brick wall I saw to see if it was a secret entrance. You must be talking about Wolfenstein 3d- the original Castle Wolfenstein (back in the early `80s) was much simple...

I actually had the forms from the ATF, so I didn't have to worry about doing the double-sided printing on mine. I did fill out two form 1's, one compliance notice and two print cards (as well as making a copy of the correspondence for my personal records). Looks like Malcom already got your question...

I guess I missed it....were SBR's illegal in AL prior to 7/1? Yep... finally got the bill passed this time around to mirror federal law on them. Prior to that, AL didn't allow SBR or SBS posession by non-govt. entities even if they were federally approved & you had the paperwork to prove it. Th...

Re: Received my Alabama SBR Form 1 today...

DISAPPROVED! Because I signed and dated it before 01JUL2010. I sent it on 16JUN. My theory that since it wouldn't even go pending til after 01JUL everything would work out was incorrect. I wonder if it would have been illegal to postdate it. So I mailed two Forms 1 back to the examiner today, dated...
