Re: 600 yards with a suppressed SBR

I got to Manatee fairly often, I'd love to see standing 565yd hits with that setup. 8)

Re: M4-1000 mount question

I just got my suppressor and installed the mount. The mount is tight on the barrel and the suppressor threads onto the mount fine and tightens up fine. My question is I find the suppressor seems loosen up on the mount after a few shots and it has to be tightened up one to two clicks to tighten back...

They are $150 plus shipping.
Ouch. Was gonna grab one for the AR and one for the 700. Looks like one of them will have to wait. :(

Anyone use an M&P 45 as a host weapon?

Thinking about selling my Kimber/Bar-Sto combo (current .45 silencer host) in favor of an M&P 45. Anyone run one of these? Pics?

Thanks!

Simple answer, nope. The fact that the bullet will be further from the bore of the break will only lessen the chance of accuracy being affected.
K, thanks!! 8)

Thanks Jason! I'll probably pick up a 762SD brake to hold me over. I might grab a 762SD this year anyways!

Will my M4-1k fit on an 18T 5/8x24 762SD brake?

I'd like a brake for my Remington 700 .223 as opposed to the 3 prong blackout for use with my m4-1k. Will the m4-1k fit on the 762SD 18T brake? I imagine I'll be picking up a .30 cal bolt gun eventually, and I doubt I'll ever live long enough to see a .223 18T brake, hence the desire for the 762sd b...

I'll use my 10.5" AR + silencer for HD. With just my wife and I in our bedroom, I'm calling 911 and getting into a defensive position covering the door to my bedroom. I'm not going out and searching for someone in my house, valuables can be replaced, that's why I have insurance.

Either one, provided they have jurisdiction over where the NFA items will be stored (your home).

Realistically, how hot would a 5.56 can get after running through 4-5 mags rather quickly?

Going by 7* a round that's 980-1190*, sound right?

I need one of those laser surface temp gauges next time I hit the range :o

NO. Owning NFA does not mean your 4th amendment rights cease to exist. They still need either your permission, or a warrant, to enter your home.

To carry extra gloves in the field ( I am only interested in anything practical) is nonsense. Choise: a) wait until the silencer is cold b) use your headgear (made of cotton) to take it off c) pee on it to cool it quicker d) leave it attached, you never know when the war is really over Regards WAH ...

Handling hot suppressors?

What do you recommend for handling hot suppressors? Specifically an M4-1k on an AR. Mechanix gloves from Autozone work fine for pistol cans that don't get very hot, but they'll melt on a hot rifle can. I've heard the Ov Glove, but it's only "rated" for 650*. Others have suggested using a w...
