Re: Need To Critique This Design
The big blast chamber will likely keep backpressure down if running on a gas gun, however this will sacrifice some in the way of FRP. The distal chamber could use a snorkel on the end cap but it is a bit large. The baffles are far apart could use tighter spacing and more baffles. Not sure what the a...

Re: Volume vs performance
I used to run an AWC MKII on an MP 5, it was so quiet at first I had to double check to find out if the gun worked at all. That can was 2"x12" , and it had shaped fender washers inside, and coaxial tubes. I wish I still had it. Yes size matter as it gives volume.

Re: Form 1 design for an FN1900 in .32 ACP
A bore of .375" would be fine, the cutouts at the front of the K baffle will be detrimental to sound. The blast chamber is probably twice the length it needs to be and will increase FRP. Don't eliminate the blast chamber completely as that may cause lots of port noise on a blow back. I can't te...

Instead of reloading I wait until there is a great deal and buy a truckload. Currently working thru 10K rounds of the fiocchi 158gr I bought 18 Months ago. Great stuff.

If chrome plating had advantages some mainline MFGs would be offering it by now.

I call it, the John Can number 1. And for an even shittier design, stay tuned for the John Can number 2. A Co2 cooled suppressor was built for the MAC-10 years ago so "gas" comes before John's #2 -CL I heard about this co2 suppressor but never read any reports or saw any pictures of...

I'm not sure if it's supposed to be that way however the cone angle on those baffles seems to not be anywhere near 60 degrees. Are air rifles different?

Stand the tube upright, pour some Kroil into the inner tube let it sit until some Kroil comes out of the seam, after that try the wrench again.

This looks pretty heavy duty, I'm guessing a short bbl and lots of full auto?

I've never heard of Inconel sheet available. Personally I think Inconel may not lend itself to forming by stamping techniques.

Enlarge image ZOOM 2079 M14 Socom 16 Gas Plug (Shorter)
Shorter plug design, has more volume for gas. Also recommended for use with sound suppressors. 17-4 Stainless, double heat-treated – 45 HRC, then M80HT 60 HRC.

Re: M&P Shield 9mm Threaded barrel?
Just thinking out loud here but maybe it would be possible t get a full size bbl and fit it the shield, then cutting and threading would be academic.Again just a thought without anything in front of me to look at or measure.

I wanted the same thing and all there is is the Youth model bbl, same experience with Ruger. I bought an 18 1/2" and had Que over at Rimfire central cut it back and reeinstall the sight. He does beautiful work.
