Re: Government Shutdown and Filing Times...
Efile form 1’s are pretty quick. Mine was submitted 1/22/19, approved 2/15/19. Not bad.

Re: Lightest, smallest 6.5 can?
Probably the ultra 7. I shot an omega on mine and it was super quiet, although it’s about 8” long. Seems like it’s 14oz with asr mount and anchor brake. Bill Alexander and Tbeast did some testing on the AR platform and the ultra 5 was quietest due to less back pressure resulting in lower ejection po...

The biggest problem with the old American iron is the ways will most likely be worn in the first 8-10” from the headstock. I went through that. I ended up buying a PM 1236 from quality machine tool, with DRO and don’t regret it at all. If you could find old American iron that’s not worn out that is ...

Re: Stainless steel alloy choices for silencer construction.
Thanks for the info ECCO. As soon as time allows, I’ll get back to this project and try it out. I’ll probably Need to leave the thread area a little larger just as insurance. Probably won’t matter but it will make me rest easier on a F1 can that I can’t legally repair. Should be able to lose 5-6 oz ...

Re: Stainless steel alloy choices for silencer construction.

Re: Stainless steel alloy choices for silencer construction.
Sorry for dredging up an old thread but I have a question on the 17-4. I’m waiting on my F1 approval and doing some research and came across this thread. My plan is to bore out a piece of 17-4 bar stock that was mistakenly sent to me several years ago by a metal supplier, so it was free. Can will be...

Nodak
I know this thread is old but I have some data with TB and 123 grain bullets if interested. I may have even done some with 140 nosler CC. I’ll look up when I get back to house.
