Re: Got my suppressor, it's norweigan!
I don't think the Knight's suppressor comes apart in 3 pieces either.
But I don't have one of those.

Re: Got my suppressor, it's norweigan!
Congratulations on your new surpressor :) On another note, I have the CCF licensed copy of the B&T suppressor in 45acp. The baffles may look like those in a B&T but the B&T and the CCF does not have a tube that comes apart in 3 pieces. To me that's a heck of a big difference. Or am I loo...

Fullhouse may be a new member but I think he's absolutely correct.
I think your receiving dealer is full of s--t.
I know I wouldn't deal with that company again after an experience like that.
Sorry for all the aggravation you had with this experience, what a shame!

Re: incredible!!
I am going to need more proof that Beretta and Benelli voted for this. The other makers I would not buy anyway. I figure most of the people who say that Beretta and Benelli will never get a cent from them don't own any anyway. You may be right, but considering an Italian member of AR15.com posted i...

Re: incredible!!
That does suck. I don't hunt and because of that my shotgun needs can be confined to just about any US made pump or semi auto, so I definitely won't be buyng a fancy Italian shotgun. My Italian handguns are already limited to a 1953 22lr. Mod 948. I've had no interest in modern Beretta pistols or Co...

Re: OBL terminated with silent pistol ?
It is amazing seeing all the wild assed but unlikely guesses here and on AR15. Why would someone use a handgun when they are holding a rifle? I completely agree with this. I wouldn't hustle into a hostile compound holding a handgun if I had a select fire shoulder weapon available. Would any of us, ...

Re: OBL terminated with silent pistol ?
He was probably killed by rifle fire.
To feed speculation, it also could have been a suppressed HK Mk23, a USP or a USP CT, all in 45acp.
I'm betting it was rifles, however, I really don't care as long as they got him

Pictures of refinished 45acp CCF Impuls IIA
Some of you may have read my thread here: http://www.silencertalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=66839&p=649902#p649902 I sent this suppressor back to CCF for refinishing recently and I got it back a few days ago. I am very happy with the results. http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/6638/img1399...

Re: HK USP 9SD Sights
I got a set of the tall Novak made tritium night sights made for the USP and the CT.
They are excellent. They are not adjustable, which does not bother me.
They can be ordered from either HK or Novaks.

On anodized aluminum: http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=4941/Product/ALUMINUM_BLACK Wow, I never thought that it was possible. My next order will include a bottle of alum black. :D This stuff is crap, it only sort of works and won't last unless it's in a nook or cranny that won't be subject to con...

Re: Refinishing a CCF Aluminum suppressor tube?
Gents, I sent my Impuls IIA back to CCF Monday to be recoated in matte black. I will post pictures when I get it back. No offense intended to our helpful membership, all of whose answers to this thread I appreciate, but I sent emails to 6 of the best known suppressor companies asking about prepping ...

i usually tell them to get fucked, and that they are ignorant as s--t. I agree. Just a respectful suggestion you didn't ask for - I know you are in no way ashamed of owning suppressors, but don't even broach the subject if you are getting bad reactions. Be good to yourself, nobody needs extra stres...

Re: Refinishing a CCF Aluminum suppressor tube?
John, thanks for posting your pictures. I appreciate it. No sweat it took you longer than you thought it would. It looks much better than the original shiny finish. And, the stamping doesn't look at all bad in silver contrast. Like you, I'd prefer it to be coated black like the rest of the tube. Lar...

Re: Refinishing a CCF Aluminum suppressor tube?
As you may recall, I have a blast cabinet. No, I didn't remember. Larry suggested using baking powder at the max distance possible to dull the shiny black finish without breaking the anodizing. Maybe we'll talk about this. I'd like to avoid spending $100 plus shipping to take care of this. Money is...

Re: Refinishing a CCF Aluminum suppressor tube?
If you change your mind on the rattle can idea, you could always use wood stove paint. Matte black is the most common color and it's made to stand up to high temperatures. A buddy of mine used it on one of his rifle barrels and it came out looking good. Anyway, just a thought. Jimmy, I've used East...

Re: Refinishing a CCF Aluminum suppressor tube?
I ran into the same thing with a 9mm Impuls-IIA. I have a 45 & 2 x 9mms. I had him do the refinish one of my 9mms, and I love it. The only problem is the refinish filled in the engraving, so he had to have it re-engraved. The can is all matte black but the engraving is "in the raw." I...

I've had a SIG P220 for years, and also a USP(F) 40 cal. Two years ago I bought an HK USP 45 CT with the raised Novak night sights. I use a CCF 45acp suppressor on it and it's a great set up. BTW: the compact tatical HK also uses the O ring around the barrel. What I like about the USP vs. the SIG is...
