Re: AAC Illusion 9 indexing on sig MPX?

Looks like even IF it can index somehow, you would have to remove the handguard every time you wanted to clean it. I understand that is simple on this weapon. But, it also means that if you are using direct thread and the suppressor unscrew a tiny bit you will have metal on metal contact damaging t...

All the marketing, all the fantastic claims.... Never heard of someone buying one from a dealer, never seen independent testing.

I'd be really really interested in independent testing!

Oh, sensitive sally, I'm sorry. I'll just order a 3-lug from my dealer and measure it out and look at a can in person.

Re: Sealing off gas to threads, O-ring or contact shoulder?

I'm thinking he wants the specs for the 3 lug adapter ;-) Hmmm ... may have to google harder. Yea, thanks smartass, but be my guest. I looked, found nothing except the difference between Gemtech's and Silencerco's major and minor pitch. No Oring. So Bender, can you are least say that the shoulder b...

Sealing off gas to threads, O-ring or contact shoulder?

Taking a look at Silencerco's three lug, that shoulder they have for the threads, is that for a contact engagment of a mating shoulder inside the can, or is that for an O-ring? https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0157/8968/products/Octane_3-lug_1024x1024.png?v=1391014552 Fat chance, but does anyone ha...

seems shifty to test at the muzzle on one then behind the suppressor on the other. at that point how do you know the at the ear #'s were measured the same way. I would say go with the trusted brand of silencerco. just my opinion. I'm not saying it was or wasn't but you do realize that the perspecti...

Re: rugged surge vs silencerco omega- video comparisons

First of all I'd toss that "What the Pros Use" pic out and never look at that garbage again. Cal is a seemingly good guy, but the logic of what is used the most in competition is what I would want so very foolish. I know someone in the PRS and I won't name which company, but he received tw...

23oz + mount weight, no thanks.

I'm in the market for a another 762 can, but no way will I buy anything that's over 14oz total, it's just not worth weighing the guns down of you are actually going to carry / use it.

Re: H&K and OSS still together?

Rumor at SHOT was that it was never HK Germany into OSS. It was HK USA, and last I heard there was an issue between Germany and USA, maybe HK USA looking to be sold. I don't know. Where there is smoke there is fire. Hard to say what anyone was thinking with an ultra expensive OSS HK rifle along with...

Re: Massive blowback in Colt AR .223 with ASE-UTRA SL5 .30 cal

Adjustable gas blocks have been my go to on the AR15, when shooting suppressed. It's still going to get dirty, but not as quickly, and the rifle will cycle smoother once you find the sweet spot. I laugh when people are all "i must have a quick attach can" and then a week later are "I...

JasonM, I appreciate your honest and thorough answer. Someone told me SiCo was running three shifts and 200 people. I don't think they've "gone" anywhere.

(no idea if those numbers are true, but they did just post that they sold their 5000th Omega just a couple months after release)

Re: New Sig SRD762Ti Silencer In Stock!

17-18oz is "extremely" light weight? 300TM at 14oz, Thunderbeast Ultras at 10-12oz don't think so.

I was actually really disappointed with the weight of the SIG 762 cans. The 556 however... Looks like the Ranger3 a lot of people actually wanted.

Frog Lube is less toxic, but expensive and I wouldn't use it on firearms (gets sticky and gummy if you use too much, I've seen at least four guns locked up with it.) Zero evidence of it being less toxic to inhale after fired in a gun. It's "all natural" but so are lead, cyanide, and organ...

What companies warrant them for does not mean that one is stronger than the other. How has anyone ever thought that was the case!? If XYZ who makes precision cans looks at it and says, man, we could spend 3 months doing really extensive R&D to figure out the most abuse our product can take... O...
