Re: How does one remove an item from NFA rolls?

One last question - what information did you provide - name, obviously, and serial number, but stamp number also? Anything else? OK, I lied - another question: Do you just phrase it as "SBR X has been permanently modified so that it no longer fits the definition of SBR. Please remove if from yo...

Re: How does one remove an item from NFA rolls?

That was my point - I didn't know what the process was, so rather than assuming something, I wished to verify it. Thank you, you have been very helpful.

Re: How does one remove an item from NFA rolls?

Thanks - I didn't know if I should expect a reply or not in that situation. Does the reply take as long as a form approval, or do they get read and processed quicker?

How does one remove an item from NFA rolls?

Assuming the item is not destroyed, how does one do this? I have a 10/22 SBR that I want to sell, but it will be easier for me to part it out than try to sell it as an NFA item. Is there are form or do I just write a letter and hope for a response?

Re: WTK: rifle barrel length + suppression..... where to cut

Depends on your altitude and temp. CCI standard velocity is always subsonic for me in rifles, no matter the barrel length. You're not really all that far away from me, though, so I think you'd be ok with it. You can get a good deal on CCI SV at Dicks, for example, instead of finding subsonic somewhe...

Re: WTK: rifle barrel length + suppression..... where to cut

On a couple of my old bolt action .22s with 24 and 26" barrels, I don't need ear pro when shooting subsonics. The barrel is long enough to let the propellant gas cool/slow substantially by the time the bullet leaves the barrel. With a can on, they are the quietest guns I have, moreso than the S...

You're right. This was a reading comprehension fail on my part. I missed where he said "upper" in the original post.

In general for .22 rifles, a longer barrel will be quieter.

So, I've been away for a little while...

It's been a while since I've put much time in either shooting or being online much. Had our third baby, realized I'm not 20 anymore and have been trying to get myself in shape, trying to not let every little thing bother me. Anyhoo, I've been able to clear my plate of a lot of issues, and I figured ...

Re: Ruger 22/45 Threaded

Paid $310 for this out the door today, and my 22 Stainless Sparrow arrived at my dealer from Major. Great Day One small gripe about this pistol. There is a 2-3mm area under the barrel that was not parkerized, it looks like holster wear but isn't. You can kinda see it in this pic directly under the ...

Re: Silencers to go off NFA onto 4473?

Are you sure the information hasn't been "telephone game" distorted by the time it got to your dealer's ears? The NFATCA has been working with BATFE to get rid of the CLEO signoff for all NFA items, as they are having to spend too much time going over trusts of people who can't get CLEO si...

WTS: Threaded barrel for Beretta Bobcat

I have decided that I would rather just shoot it unsuppressed. I'm selling a black Hi-Desert Dog threaded factory barrel. It was installed on my Bobcat and functioned perfectly; it has about 200 rounds through it. Per the instructions on his website, it required a small amount of filing to latch in ...

Re: Beretta 21a or Browning Challenger II for threading?

I currently have to "aim through the can" with my Beretta, as well. I can't do as good a job with it this way as with using the sights unsuppressed. I'm just curious how much better the CT works for aiming. The Spectre and the Zephyr both sound about the same on mine, btw, and the only amm...

Re: Hi desertdog

I ended up getting a threaded blued barrel from him for my Beretta 21A. It works great and the threads are very well done. It just needed minimal fitting at the latch, per his instructions. Ironically, its sight is actually better regulated on target than the OEM barrel.

Re: how does the beretta 21a work as a suppressor host?

It depends on the kind of adapter you get from HDD, I think. My barrel has been fully threaded and an adapter threaded onto it. He may use thread locker to secure it, but it is definitely threaded.
