I highly recommend Rocksett. I degrease both threads and use a couple of drops and have never had my thread-on can come loose, despite many sessions of rapid fire.

If it's going to be subsonic only, I would investigate 9mm pistol can sound performance and wear when used with .300blk subs. Pistol cans will be a hell of a lot lighter than a .30 Specwar and, since you aren't going to be shooting without the can, you can use a threaded mount with some Rocksett.
