Re: Serial Numbers

Just like a SSN, a serial gives more ammo to social engineers. Furthermore, the general population seems to be running a surplus of stupid.

It happens, and all it takes is one intermediate mark to fall for it to derail your day.

Re: Cone Baffle Porting Questions

Thanks for the replies everyone! 57fairlane, That was my initial thought, but I wasn’t entirely sure in practice. Definitely will keep that in mind. Zevdogs, In the video, it seemed like your suppressor had a deep sound to it; pretty cool. How do you like the stepped baffles and integrated spacers? ...

Re: I submitted form on oct 4, is this the right # to ck sta

While that is the correct number, please know that calling really isn't going to do much for you this early in the waiting game. My last Form 4 didn't get approved until 7 months after pending almost to the day, and when I called to check around 6 months into the total wait I was told it took three ...

Cone Baffle Porting Questions

In researching on here, I've caught on to the idea of putting a slot in the top of conical baffles. As some have read, but none have replied to, this would be for my .223 form 1 suppressor. Has anyone tried to angle such a port in favor of directing gas toward the front or rear of the suppressor, in...

Re: Building a Form 1 Can for a 3T

Here are my initial models of my intended baffles and core. Baffles and spacers will be Inconel 718 and the tube will be 316L. SolidWorks is telling me that I'm at 20oz without the mounting assembly and hardware, so I'm guessing if I modeled that idea I'd probably be at ~24oz. OAL is a comparatively...

Building a Form 1 Can for a 3T

I have a Triple Tap on a 12.5" 5.56 SBR and am looking for something to have available as a suppressor. I considered getting an NT4, but the weight and price/performance ratio just aren't acceptable to me. I've unfortunately heard vastly different performance across the ones I've gotten to play...

Re: Which do you prefer, URX-II or URX-III?

I have a URX II with an AFG on my SBR and a URX III (first version with the integrated front) with a handstop on my SPR. I like the feel of the URX III better, but it gets hot fast. I had sores the last time I shot ~150 rounds through it with BUIS only on action stages, and I've gone through 500-700...

Re: OK to us a Gem-tech M-4 on a 22-243?

Bendersquint, So many manufacturers seem to by doing so much cover-their-ass or simple distribution of fallacy that I can understand many people don't trust certain ones. A bit over a month ago I did a 300 BLK build and Noveske had, at least at that time, stated that they do not recommend using supp...

Re: Considering a Warlock II (Updated w/ Vid)

I ran a few hundred rounds through the Warlock II and my 21A on visitation today. Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmPBwDmsfpg Kenny, Thanks for the info, and as you can see I went with the Warlock II. I'm thoroughly impressed with it, even on my perhaps sub-standard host. It's extremely enjoya...

Re: Considering a Warlock II

I ended up purchasing the Warlock II and starting the process. The thing is light, and the snap together baffles reminded me of legos, and felt strangely similar. While I was impressed with the features and performance claims, compared to what I own I'm not fully confident about it's durability; I'm...

Re: Considering a Warlock II

Emilio, thanks for the reply. Hopefully a can will indeed make the 21a a little less finicky. I didn't think of that possibility. How often do suppressors like the Warlock need to be cleaned? I'm aware that it's not the same situation as with my centerfire cans, but I'm also under the impression tha...

Considering a Warlock II (Updated w/ Vid)

A dealer near me has a SWR Warlock II in stock for $260 including transfer, and as Monday is my payday I could seal the deal pretty soon. I was looking at getting an AAC Prodigy, but the Warlock looks attractive at half the cost and the same purported performance and overall weight. Chances are that...
