Re: My 4 year battle with AAC to fix a defective suppressor...
Back in the old days of aac I had the exact same problem. I bought a cyclone and the threads on the can were not concentric to the bore/endcap. My gun shot the 6-12 inch groups you speak about. I mailed it back and Mke Mers (I think that was his name) called me a month later and said the can could n...

Bender if you ever do a recore of these cans please put me on the list. This can is nice and quiet but it is a pain in the ass to get apart.

Re: Degroat mk12 help
Bender Sorry I was not clear. The tube would be sitting on top of the table with the threads on the bottom. I put the stainless spacer in and the 1st stainless baffle would go in with the convex portion inside of the stainless spacer. So as I built my stack from bottom to top it would look like the ...

Re: Degroat mk12 help
Here is a picture of the 2 ways the baffles can be installed. I had them installed like the one on the left which it sounds like it may be backwards.
Thanks for your help Bender.

Re: Degroat mk12 help
The can was not meant to be disassembled. I had stalking rhino jailbreak it. So I have not tried to contact the manufacturer but I will tomorrow. Mr degroat is a good guy. He helped me out when I first got the can by changing the thread pitch for free. I wish I could find anothe can just like it. Th...

Degroat mk12 help
Does anybody that has had one of these cans opened up have a picture of how the spacers and the baffles align? I took mine a part to clean it and I am not sure I got the baffles facing the correct way. Thanks

Re: Subsonic 220 gr 308 load with trailboss
I called magnetospeed and they said to put the bayonet a hair closer to the bore and it should work. Basically I have to compensate for the larger size exit hole of the suppressor without shooting the bayonet. I will let you know how it works out. Thanks for you ideas and help. Magnetospeed said wit...

Subsonic 220 gr 308 load with trailboss
I am having a difficult time getting consistent velocity results out of my brothers aac 308. Does using magnum primers help with getting the powder to burn more consistently? I have tried 12.0 grains up to 12.7 that seem to be subsonic but I am getting funny readings with my magneto speed. Bullets s...

Re: Buyer beware of Advanced Armament/an ongoing experience
My take is the employees at aac are good people. Nick always responds to my dumb ass emails and gets me headed down the right path. I ordered a mount from their website and a week later it showed up at my door from another company so they are doing something to get you what you need while they are m...

Re: A new way to clean baffles??!!
I have left my Spectre baffles in my tumbler overnight and they came out spotless. I had been using it on a m16 with a 22 kit and had not cleaned it in a year so it was nasty.

Re: Aluminum baffles have pits in them. Can this be stopped
I took it apart last night and the main issue is bad putting on 1 of the spacers. I sent a picture to victor at Us anodizing and he is going to see if he can help me out.

Re: Aluminum baffles have pits in them. Can this be stopped
Weight is not an issue. I won't weld the can up because then I can't clean it. Can is for 300 whisper subsonic.

Re: Aluminum baffles have pits in them. Can this be stopped
We did not because you were worried about them fitting back in the tube. It is a tight fit the way it is before re anodizing.

Aluminum baffles have pits in them. Can this be stopped
I have a can with aluminum baffles and there are a few pits in some of the baffles. Is there any way to stop the pits from getting worse? The baffle is a 2 piece design with a tube and cap construction. The pitting is on the tubes which are basically spacers. Manufacturer probably won't help me out ...

Re: Socom 556 acceptable sound reduction?
I have fired my 5.56 socom at night on my m16. With a 11.5 inch barrel you get a decent flash on the 1st round but the rest look like a small 1-2 inch flame coming out. Definitely louder than my aac 7.62 sdn-6 but there was a much larger flash on the 7.62 sdn-6 but it is also a 30 cal can. The test ...

Re: Is it worth it to upgrade a Spectre
I bought a Spectre 2 instead of upgrading when the upgrade 1st came out. The 2 is on a bolt gun that never gets shot and to be honest I have never taken the 2 apart. The Spectre 1 is on my 22 kit for my m16 with a 4.5 inch barrel. It gets abused and although I got the baffles clean there is so much ...

Is it worth it to upgrade a Spectre
I have a Spectre and I was wondering if the upgrade is worth it. Does it make the can easier to clean? I took mine apart yesterday and even with a tumbler with stainless pins it was a bitch. Probably 1200 rounds through the can.
Thanks

Which direct thread 30 cal can?
I have not been in the market for a suppressor in a few years and things sure have changed. Can you recommend a direct thread 30 cal can for 308, 3006, and 300 wby mag? I would say weight/length is more important to me than being the quietest.
Thanks

Re: subsonic .308 10" barrel 1-10 twist
My barrel is a douglas. I had the gun built and I love it.
I would reccomend looking at a different action than a remington 700 because of ejection issues. If i had it to do over again I would use a cz action.
