Re: Spiral Baffle Design....yay or nay?
Are you saying that the baffle in the picture is not one made by Greg? If so, I would find that odd because the picture stems from an interview that Greg did with the Firearm blog in his factory and it was labeled as the hexical. Greg has used this to build a coaxial design.Others have used it but ...

Re: Spiral Baffle Design....yay or nay?
Not up on the latest greatest baffle designs but this was perhaps one of the only commercially successful spiral baffle designs that I know of. It was created by Greg at GSL Technology (part of Gemtech back in the day). It was invented back in the 80's. This was a baffle that was talked about but n...

Re: Booster-less micro cans vs slide weight
I don't think it's going to be that simple. I want/wanted to do the same thing but gave up on the idea and going to just run a booster. I would think you'd have better luck trying to keep your weight further rearward than looking at total weight. the further your weight is from the fulcrum point th...

Op do not take this the wrong way but did you really make an effort to find the parts?
I just find it hard to believe that a malfunctin in a 22 can could send the parts into the abyss.

Al Paulson talked about machining an annular groove in the rear of the Ruger barrel to hold an O-ring
to help quiet the bolt slamming forward. He also spoke about what you guys are referring to on the back side of the bolt.

Re: 9mm, steel or aluminum?
My head literally hurts from reading some of this. Buying a pipe cutter? Seriously why not just walk into a HD or Lowe's and have them cut and square a tube. I am sure if you are nice to the guy he will do it for a couple of bucks. Ok 9mm but hangun, rifle, subgun? You do not need steel for a 9mm. I...

Re: some one please school me on aluminum
The MK9-K was 7.0" long and 2" in D with SS baffles all else was aircraft grade aluminum but for the mounts. It is viewed as one of the best sub guns cans of the day. The Gemtech Raptor was made entirely from 6061-T6 and 2024 and it was a great performer @9.1"L x1.4" D. I use to ...

That's ok as he and I made a deal in June 2011 for him to make me a one off custom mount. Sent him the upper half to my Beretta 92G and $275 as agreed. All was great in the begining with good correspondence and than he vanished. I reached out in Nov 2011 and nothing and than in April 2012 and nothin...

Re: 22 Blackbox vs 22 Osprey
Both are old tech and just copies of maxims high bore in square form. If square worked good in 22lr you would think there would be a few already. ( some people still like playing with blocks  ) Are you saying that Maxims were poor performers because as I recall Al Paulson tetsed one and th...

Capital Armory does a $200 down plus any applicable taxes and a small service fee (do not know how much that is) and they let you pay the balance over four months. Site says paperwork is filed immediately. I bought a Saker from them because they allowed me to have it my way ie with a brake instead o...

Re: Need advice on either Ti-Rant 9 or 9s
As I said if you like to shoot a lot you will have to recharge the system after "X" number of rounds and that might get old. Of course you can just shoot it dry and deal with the increased noise.

Re: Need advice on either Ti-Rant 9 or 9s
If you like to shoot a lot I would think the 9s would get old quick.
If you want to go small go small and look into a can like the DeGroat "Nano" or the Thompson Machine "Poseidon".

Op giving me a headache with his 6" 7.5 inch switching DERP. FYI if you did go with a Paladin barrel. Do not get a barrel with an on/off button. The button gets fouled with as little as one round which makes the button useless unless you have a punch and hammer with you. I thought it would be c...

No one has any idea as to when e-file might be back up and running.
FYI just in case you are not aware but Form 4's via e-file are only for Corps, Trust's not individuals.
