Re: 9mm 147gr. Subsonic Round Nose

I used to get mine from ammo to go and from Georgia arms.

Now that I am using a 16" barrel, I am going to start loading my own 147/158 grain

Re: How many really want a NEW 9mm bolt action carbine?

Range day: This rifle needs breaking in. The more I shot it, the smaller the groups were, and the smoother the action was. It started a little rough but I put Gunslik on the bolt (grease and graphite) so it would polish itself with use. I may do some hand polishing of rough spots on the bolt. It doe...

Re: How many really want a NEW 9mm bolt action carbine?

Going to the range Monday, due to the freezing rain today and tomorrow.

I did pull the 3BUCC fabric shell catcher off the bushmaster I will be selling, and added it to the Novem/TCM.

Re: How many really want a NEW 9mm bolt action carbine?

Range trip will have to wait for a week. The test with phone books was done. American Eagle 147gr FMJ was louder than I expected, but quieter than any previous 9mm host. Being in an enclosed space reflected a lot of sound back at me. Outdoors it will probably be silly quiet. On Target 147gr was much...

Picked this up today.
Added a cheap scope, cheap bipod, Gemtech Multi-mount 9mm Suppressor

Unfortunately it will not be possible to get to the range this weekend.
*sigh*

Buyer has some concern that if he ever damages the muzzle he can thread it again without going below 16".

Re: multi-caliber suppressors ??

Not 9mm A good 7.62mm suppressor should be able to handle .223/5.56mm, but not the larger, lower-pressure 9mm. And any sealed can would not be a great thing to shoot dirty .22 through. Too much gunk would stay in the can - soot mixed with vaporized lead. A well made 9mm that can be taken apart will ...

Re: SBR Transfer advice

The normal process is for the seller to retain possession of the NFA until the buyer is approved. The ATF understands the seller will have possession for a short time after approval. Exactly. And, OP, the reason for paying all up front is, once the paperwork is done, it is now yours regardless of w...

Re: Problem dealing with a LH threaded barrel & a RH threaded adapter to can

Assuming you are talking about the threads between the booster and the can:

I hold the booster to tighten it to the barrel.
I hold the booster and tighten the can to it.

Mine does not come loose after a magazine, but I still check.

Barrel is threaded 1/2-28.
I put an AR 9mm birdcage on it as a thread protector.
This is going to be so fun.......

Latest variation, much more work done than standard. Scout Rifle with adjustable peep sights, Picatinny rail, and cupped barrel. This was a special order with significant up charges for the extra work. http://www.specialinterestarms.com/DSCF0548.jpg At first, I thought this was ugly but every time ...

The European threaded barrels are made to seat on the muzzle.

American threaded barrels are made to seat the can on the shoulder.

Re: How many really want a NEW 9mm bolt action carbine?

I have 1/2x28, 1/2x26, 5/8x24, and 13.5x1..... What sort of scope base is included, if any? I have a burris Mtac (30mm) that I can use. I am trying to reduce my collection to 3 rifles and 3 handguns, and only the 1 suppressor. I am getting old.... this sounds like a fun gun, and a neat pest controll...

Re: How many really want a NEW 9mm bolt action carbine?

nice

Can you provide the source rifle?
What would a normal 16.5" barrel with you providing the source run?

I have had it with crap blowing into my face, and would rather load 9mm than 300BLK cartridges - thinking of selling my .30 can.
My 9mm multimount has a 5/8x24 mount. :)

That is what happened to that .22LR GSG MP5 lookalike with the face can.

ATF had them recall them.
