Re: Mead, easy to make

My first batch is ready to drink but it has some serious stuff floating in it. I know that there is a certain amount of sediment in it but this seems to be too much (suspended in it, not on the top) anyone know it this is normal or have I lost this batch? How much is too much stuff?

Re: 10/22 build

Some go with the Novak rear/rail combo. Then replace the A1 guts with the high end Tech-sights (Tech-site sells the internals with out their base)giving you the rail and the stronger ear type setup (Novak) with the windage/elevation adjustments of the Tech-sights. That is something I didn't know - ...

I love my Specter. I am interested in seeing some numbers on the new baffle stack compaired to the old one before I would consider "upgrading". Heck I need a second .22 silencer.

Specter and Ruger Tactical

Long story short, my only 10/22 that I have threaded is my wife's. The stock on it is so short that I rarely get any time behind it. For Chistmas this year my wife got me a Ruger Tactical. I was sick as a dog, but grabed it, a spacer, and my SWR Specter and went out, braving the elements, to the ran...

Re: Just Bought A Ruger Tactical 10/22

I am sick-as-a-dog but got out this afternoon for a function test with my boys. Ran great! No problems what so ever (I need a bolt buffer in there. It was louder that the rifle's report!). Poor pics from my iPhone4.

Re: Just Bought A Ruger Tactical 10/22

When ahead a ran a Reminton choke tube wrench in and out of the FH to give me a small T-handle to turn off (still really on there). From muzzle to spacer (which looks to be a AR crush washer) is .560". From muzzle to shoulder of barrel (sans spacer) is .707". Got my spacers in today (.200...

Re: 40 S&W chambered and detonated in a 45ACP.......

I have seen it happen (40 S&W in a 45 acp). No big deal really, bulged and split case, bullet left the barrel as normal (most probably flipping ass over tit reference not engaging the rifling), gun did not cycle. The spent round was manually ejected and we carried on with training. Again, no bi...

Re: Just Bought A Ruger Tactical 10/22

I just picked up one of these this evening. I am trying to get the FH off (damn it is on there). The manual says that there is a spacer on there as well as the FH. If I can get it off I can measure with and without the spacer for you all. I will probably wait until the morning in case I need to take...

Re: 9MM uppers what are the diferences

On a 9mm upper there are a couple differences: there is no hole for the gas tube, they typically have the 3/4 length ejection port door and the gas deflector (yes it is a gas deflector not a brass deflector), and probably the most over looked item is that it does not have a cut out for the cam pin t...

Re: SCAR-H-SD Mount/Profiling barrel necessary?

I was going to call customer service on Monday but figured I might get an answer faster here. What barrel diameter is needed for the SCAR-H-SD mount? I think the threading is 5/8 x 24. Setting up a LMT MWS for SCAR-H-SDs, might have to get the barrels profiled to get a mount on there. Thanks! :wink...

There are sub-sonic rounds in the typical (read this lighter) weights are fine with the 1:16. The 1:9 seems to be the prefered for the 60gr (heavy weight) subs.

Is the barrel able to be removed (like the 77/22) for threading or is it threaded into the receiver like a regular centerfire rifle?
