Re: M4-1000 Problems

What about mating your 18t can to a 51t mount? You could figure out where your springs lay when the can is fully seated onto the mount, then machine the 51t mount to have the springs fall into the notches when fully tight. The problem with the 18t mount is at best you get one spring to fall into a n...

Re: Black out permanently attached?

Shouldn't be any issues as long as it is done properly. I had LWRC pin two on my M6A3s - no issues running the M4-2000s.

Re: Thread pitch for Titan QD brake?

I don't think you'll need to do any work to the barrel unless you want to... Last i knew, TiTAN brakes were available in 3/4-24. They are, but looking at your threading guide/blueprints the M18-1.5 will better fit my barrel due to it's current profile - it would need to be cut back more to meet the...

Thread pitch for Titan QD brake?

Going to be replacing my Badger FTE (3/4-24) for a Titan brake and suppressor on my Surgeon .338 Lapua. Assuming the barrel will need to be reprofiled slightly to fit the AAC brake.... Is there any reason why I couldn't or shouldn't just get a M18-1.5 threaded brake and have the smith cut, thread, a...

Muzzle brake or flash hider for 8" Build?

Just looking for some clarification on direction to go for some 300 AAC BO upper builds. I have two 762SDs (18t) that are not being used - figure I'll build some BO uppers to host them. From the threads I have read the blast effect on the first baffle is nowhere near as harsh as a 5.56 and shouldn't...

Re: Any suppressors you were dissatisfied with?

My AAC 762-SD 18T mount. The 18T mount sucks. Other than that it's a great can Ditto on this!! :( Bought two 18t 762SDs. Both turned a 1 MOA rifle into a 3-4 MOA shotgun. Between the can being loose and backing off it sure isn't useable if having any amount of accuracy is important. Might find thei...

Re: Retainer springs for '07 762 SD?

When did that become the case? I bought my 18T can in late 2008 and the manual has instructions for changing the spring at home. Since we were acquired by corporate overlords that interpret BATFE rules in their own way. So now you guys are stuck doing the small stupid stuff that could be done by th...

Re: Front exit hole strike?

Most of us aren't. AAC sold thousands and thousands of 18T suppressors. You don't see hundreds of threads full of people having problems. A few people have issues with 18T but most don't. I have an 18T can with many rounds through it and it never backs off. It's unfortunate that some people have pr...

Re: AAC 7.62 Suppressor options

What about a SCAR-H-SD? Good option if you can find one, but since these are not/have not recently been made for civilians, they are not a practical choice. there is also an issue with less flexibility in terms of mount options- needing 2.5" of clear barrel, only flash hider mounts, etc. I sna...

Had Gemtech cut and thread the bbl to 18" and a bi-lock installed; wearing a M4-96D in the picture. The SS bbl was hit with GunKote. The rifle now wears a VLTOR E-MOD buttstock. Very accurate rifle - esp loves the BH 77Grn. I was lucky enough to have that UNS for a few weeks for T&E, but ha...

Re: Trying out the 96 Land Cruiser in Moab, UT - Short Video

This was at Cruise Moab '09 - first day was Fins-N-Things, second day was Gold Bar Rim, last day was Steel Bender. Went up in trail ratings as I got the feel of the 80. I went from a lightly modded Jeep XJ to this beast, so it was quite a change in driving.

Trying out the 96 Land Cruiser in Moab, UT - Short Video

This was the first time taking my 1996 FZJ80 up to Moab, UT and trying her out on the trails. Built it up with a 4" lift, running 315s, regeared to 4.88. Pretty much all armored up and weighing in at slightly over 6000lbs. Slee Off-Road, a custom Land Cruiser parts company out of CO supplied al...

Colt 6450 9mm Carbine Overview Video

Made a short (<10 minutes) video giving a quick overview of a Colt 6450 9mm. If you haven't seen a 6450 up close or know what Colt does to change a M4 shooting 5.56 into one shooting 9mm then you may find this of interest. Let me know what you think. http://www.youtube.com/user/Hurricane810kr#p/a/u/...

Re: The Original SR-15 "Match" Rifle...Where did they go???

I can't tell you the last time these were released commercially in quantity but the last time I dealt with them I received 100 rifles in a mix of 18.5" and 20" barrels about 3 years ago which sold out extremely fast. But since there has been a large amount of interest I email KevinB about...

Re: The Original SR-15 "Match" Rifle...Where did they go???

This is my SR15 Match - had GemTech cut the barrel to 18" and install a bi-lock. I now run an older M4-96D on this. I bought this rifle in 2003, so at the time this photo was taken I was still using a Bushmaster, Pre-Ban lower to be "legal" though it now sports its KAC lower. One of t...

It's kinda like transferable machine guns. Not exactly worth what they cost but If they hold their value and you can afford them then whats the harm. I would bet who ever can afford that gun already has a pretty nice truck. Or drives a medicore automobile and steadily bought certain stocks and ETFs...

Videos - LWRC REPR post mag modificaton and Kel-Tec PLR16

Some videos from the range today. The REPR is up and running and shooting without issue after LWRC's magazine modification. I did a couple different things to run the gun, all went off without a hitch, so faith has been restored in the system. LWRC made things right. No tool was needed to adjust the...

Re: 51 tooth 762-SD in Production !!!!!!!!!!

I had recently ordered (4) AAC suppressors: (2) M42000s and (2) 762SDs. I was debating to wait out for the 51t, but all word appeared they were a no-go at the time, but doesn't seem to be the case now. Am I pissed, sure, but what to do now? Do I sell the 18t 762SDs at a loss just to purchase and get...

Let's see how close I am on this before a KAC rep sets me straight: Rifle length SR25 URX: Old: The front sight is adjust from underneath with an allen wrench, similiar to the Mk11 Mod 0 folding sight. Front sight does not lock open. New: The newer versions have a thumb wheel adjustable front sight ...

Benelli M1S90 Short Barreled Shotgun Blasting Slugs

Just a short video I made with the M1S90 SBS. The recoil is harsh, especially with slugs, but a solid stance and shouldering help out immensely. Not the biggest fan of the rifle sights, prefer the ghost rings, but when built this up I didn't have a choice. With the cyclinder bore and ranges it would...

Some videos today shooting at the 800 yard line with my Mk11 Mod 0 and one of my 700s in 300 WinMag. Wind was catching me on a few shots, so that's where the misses are coming from.
