Re: Jesus at Occupy Wall Street: ‘I feel like I’ve been here
Indeed, Jesus threw out the money lenders that were in the courtyard of The Temple...not the ones in front of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. Though I suspect he would not be pleased with the unjust weight and measure meted out by the fiat-money-producing Federal Reserve.

Re: Wow, 20% of parents admit to drugging their kids
I had to 'rough it out' as a kid, if you can call it that. Other than the normal round of childhood vaccinations, my parents really discouraged the use of medication. I remember breaking the crest of my hip when I was a freshman in high school. The doctor's prescription for pain killers promptly wen...

Re: Laden deserved a better burial, say NYC Muslims
Their complaining seems a bit inconsistent. While bin Laden was alive, the peaceful adherents of Islam were quick to point out that their doctrine had been 'hijacked' by the actions of a few extremists. Now that the man is dead, they complain that his body was not disposed of properly according to t...

It's hell when you live in a state that doesn't observe DST, but work in one that does.

I remember stumbling across a heated internet debate on some random website over whether or not "Amazon Eve" is in actuality a post-op tranny.

Re: SOUTH DAKOTA BILL REQUIRING ALL CITIZENS TO OWN A GUN
I understand the point they are trying to make, but it's a bit lost seeing as most states require residents to purchase car insurance. The only difference is you don't have to drive. I shouldn't have to buy insurance just to stay alive and not be classified a criminal. It's true that state resident...

Re: Do you believe in God?
These are the words of a wise man. Though I am not Christian, and am Taoist actually, there are Christians I respect. HammerToeJohnson's outlook is exactly the sort of thing that earns it. The vast majority of Catholic people I've known are good people, but I currently have issue with anyone who co...

Re: Deutsch Falsely Claims Arizona Doesn’t Honor MLK Jr. Day
It's called Martin Luther King Jr./Civil Rights Day here. We held out until 1990. South Carolina was the last state to jump on the bandwagon in 2000. I guess it's permissible to say anything on cable news these days!

Re: Do you believe in God?
I have no qualms about believing in God wholeheartedly (the Christian God, to be exact). I also have no qualms about saying some of the most moral and caring human beings I have ever met were/are atheists. If a man investigates the facts and comes to his conclusion, I shall respect their decision. T...

I can fully agree with Norinco being hit and miss. I have a Mak-90 and a 320 Uzi clone. The Mak-90 is of solid quality, while the 320 is shoddy as hell (and nowhere near IMI quality).

Re: Chicken question
You fellas raising chickens might want to think about raising rabbits also, that's what I did up in Vermont, you can sell them to butcher shops and if you put a sign out people will be stopping in to buy them for eating or for their kids as pets. Something to consider. That doesn't sound like a bad...

Re: Congressman Pete King to Introduce Gun Safety Bill After
A likely response from a politician. Reminds me of a quote by Murray Rothbard: "For which categories of crime does the State pursue and punish most intensely – those against private citizens or those against itself? The gravest crimes in the State's lexicon are almost invariably not invasions o...

Toner? That's the shoulder thing that goes up, right? I would think any item that can be hollowed out could be made into a explosive device. How far will it go?

Re: Who will be our Alaric
It would be easier to be a financial/ideological Alaric than an actual conqueror. Debt slavery and an ideological shift away from the private ownership society will probably cause our nation's decline and fall. I just don't see China having the ability to stage an invasion of the homeland.

I didn't backpack, but I spent about 2 months going through the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, France and Luxembourg by train. I definitely made sure to go in the summer, as the winter months can make things difficult. The hardest part was finding a place to do laundry.

I think there is a variety of reasons involved, money plays a part and wherever muslims have had a great victory they've put up a mosque, propaganda plays its part also. Dome of the Rock, case in point. Not even near where the 'miraculous' event allegedly took place either, but it's on the Temple M...
