Re: Stupid question, I know...
I'm mostly impressed by the quality of machine work, especially for the price. Also, I've seen that they are selling boosters alone. I'm not sure is it legal for US citizens to purchase those parts alone, but if it's possible, than it would be pretty sweet deal for a lot Form 1 guys.

Re: Stupid question, I know...
1. I'm European, so no US federal prison for me. 2. I'm talking about the can, the way it's built and especially about the price. I'm not really interested in pistol cans so I wouldn't buy it anyway. 3. My third and fourth words were "legality aside" because I know someone will start with ...

Porting starts 35 mm from the rear of the barrel's chamber, there's 30 holes, 10 mm spacing, 2,5 mm diameter. All holes are countersunk to 3 mm, externally.

Re: No More Solvent Traps
with all baffles on the same slant and orientation as the baffle rotation causes bullet yaw! Thanks for this info. Now I understand why the suppressor on VSS has such big openings in its baffles. Also, if the yaw is avoided by the same baffle orientation, than it's also possible to use smaller open...

I believe baffles in Vaime's can were Aluminum cast, not plastic ones, at least for AK. Friend of mine used it during the 1980's and he was very impressed by noise reduction.

I have never heard of the finn type 1,2,3. I tried a search to get the idea of what you are talking about but didnt find anything. Where could one find images of the different types? It's ok to use steel wool in a suppressors. There's no need to be feared of a fire hazard 'cause fire needs oxygen and there will be almost none in that part of the tube. Now... Is it a good way to go for a legal suppressor in the hands of civilians? I would say no. Even rolled mesh (brass, bronze, ...

Re: Don Walsh On Mesh In Suppressor Design
I don't remember the whole story, but Don Walsh actually lied about his designs (at least, it was not a fully truth) because he wanted to screw some guys who copied his suppressors. Sure thing, it was back then when everything suppressor/silencer related was so hush, hush so it was possible to fool ...

You said in a previous thread you're making a .308WIN can & using 17-4 internals. Aluminum of any sort should be 0% of that build. Very popular belief but also the wrong one. All ex Yugo cans had not only Al alloy tubes but also internals except blast chamber/mounting piece which was out carbon...

Re: Hi Standard
The main problem is that every single piece of screen has to be treated with tin (Sn) to stop unraveling and prevent accuracy problems because holes were very tight, just 5.8 mm. Mesh roll was also tin plated. Original barrel is 115 mm long and it's the same length on the suppressed H-D M/S, just th...

I would say that potential dB gain is rather symbolic, and manufacturing problems are just not worth it. Not sure who did it, but there was a cast aluminum version of what a_canadian mentioned. They used it for 5.56 and it was disaster, because pressures were just to high. But as idea, it was actually very promising.

Re: Integral Suppressed Sten Form 1 Idea
Bullets that are normally subsonic, ie: 147 & 158grn, could be too slow to reliably shoot. You may end up w/ squib rounds (stuck in barrel) For reference, you do not shoot these weight bullets from an MP5SD. Are you sure about this? Buddy of mine is test shooter for PPU and he is shooting them ...
