Re: What do you guys think of the new WarBlock?

I outsource it. No way it can be done in house it's a pretty sophisticated process that uses a lot of energy. The end result is totally worth it though. I can pm you the company I use if you would like. It beats pretty much every other finish hands down.

Re: What do you guys think of the new WarBlock?

Thanks again Sillycon, I like your idea about approaching Boutiques as add-ons, and that is actually what I've been doing. The AR market being low margin is no joke. Some of my vendors give me literally a $1 margin on a $90 part. In fact on one item that costs $50 I have a $0.00 margin, apparently I...

Re: What do you guys think of the new WarBlock?

Also, not to "monkey wrench" you, but have you looked at doing a gas-adjustable version? I was going to ask the same question. It is a very nice execution of design, it just doesn't stand out from the other 9,999 gas blocks. Also, I haven't used a bayonet lug since basic. Maybe make the b...

Re: What do you guys think of the new WarBlock?

Thanks sillycon! I think I have plenty of stuff to fill up a table, mostly pinned barrel assemblies and uppers. I probably would only take a handful of the stand-alone units in case any hardcore builders show up. Not sure what a pre-drilled version is. Do you already with the pin holes drilled and r...

Re: What do you guys think of the new WarBlock?

So what is a good quantity to have on hand at a table in your opinion? Just enough to cover the table or more than that? I'm doing the same thing trying to build up a respectable inventory to have for a show. I've never done a show btw.

Re: What do you guys think of the new WarBlock?

Wow you're into all kinds of things. I've also noticed the tiny margins in the AR market. Have you considered doing gun shows with your precision rifles? Honestly, it's a bit of a laundry list... It's effectively a general fabrication shop: TIG welder, plasma cutter, Bridgeport, two clausing 13x36&q...

Re: What do you guys think of the new WarBlock?

Being a small shop myself, I can appreciate the level of effort you've put in to make that happen. My hat goes off to you sir! That is a very nice product indeed! Thanks man! I shudder at the thought of how much time, money, and effort went into that, but I love it. What kind of shop do you have, w...

What do you guys think of the new WarBlock?

What is the WarBlock? Well it's what I've been working on for the past 10 years off and on. I've finally finished it, turned it into a product, and I have some pics to show off. I want to know what you guy think about it! Basically it is an AR15 receiver level railed gas block that has a unique feat...

Yes Ameriglo does make a special suppressor sight for Bowie for the M&P. I'm having them installed right now.

Re: Gun Control founding father comment..

I think what your looking for is from Jefferson: “Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes... Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicide...

Re: New Smith and Wesson M&P's

Why do you dislike the metric thread? I find it better than the standard because far fewer turns to seat and it seems to hold tight better (maybe from the o-ring).

Hi Henry, I finally got to try out the indexing after you fixed it. Four of the indexes are dead on and two are off a couple of inches. All is well, thanks again.

Indexing and major impact shifts with Trident9

Hello, I was testing the impact shift with my Trident9 on my M&P with a factory threaded barrel and was surprised to find it about 10 inches low at 15yds. I tested all the different indexes shooting groups with a 15yd zeroed Crimson Trace laser and every position was slightly different. All posi...

Re: What o-ring for M&P Spec-ops barrel?

Got it, Thanks Henry. I know there is an o-ring in the piston but I thought I could add one behind the threads for added tension since it appears the corresponding area in the piston i.e. the first .100 or so is smooth and not threaded.

What o-ring for M&P Spec-ops barrel?

What size o-ring goes in the relief area behind the threads on the 13.5x1 LH M&P Spec-Ops barrel to keep the suppressor on tight? Here's a pic from SWR's subforum. Disregard the red arrow, the relief is the groove immediately behind the threads. http://title2.com/v-web/gallery/albums/album02/S_W...

I say go with which ever pistol you shoot better or the most unsuppressed. For me the M&P9 with a factory threaded barrel is a dream.

Re: Spectre + Ultrasonic = :-)

I don't think you are supposed to put aluminum in an ultrasonic cleaner anyway. But wow that is cleaner than I would have expected. I'm sure that it all depends on the cleaner being used in an ultrasonic cleaning tank. It appears to work well for him. His Specter baffles are stainless steel, I was ...

Re: Which skin for the site?

I vote to find one that is the closest to the previous skin. It was near perfect and the easiest on the eyes out of pretty much all my other forums. AR15.com and MP-Pistol.com are pretty good though.
