Form 1 on a Shockwave

Thinking about stamping my Mossberg Shockwave to a SBS.

On the form 1 under model should I just put 590, or 590 Shockwave?

Doesn't have Shockwave on the weapon, only place it has it is on the box.

Wait time is around 8 to 12 months still?

I don't want to rock the boat but this guy has been around and worked hard for all that confetti. You may notice that top pin they don't hand them out.Boats often get a bum rap and looked down upon by the twigits & snipes. You don't have to wear a trident to see land combat either.I have known ma...

I did ask him....and he said he had volunteered for a lot of stupid s--t he should have never done.

Thanks for the info everyone, I kinda figured it was BS, he lied about being a certified Harley tech too. I found that out the hard way.

Re: Anyone spent time in the Navy?

Hey, "Wood", why do you ask? Is this like an extended family member at a barbecue talking about all the awesome stuff he's done, and now you're asking this community if it's true? What's the back-story on this? Also, how many bronze stars are on that Good-Conduct ribbon? Is it just one? T...

Anyone spent time in the Navy?

I was wondering what these ribbons stand for and if any are combat related.

I was shocked, first SV or sub sonic I've seen in a couple years.

Wish I could have got more, I like to keep 10K rounds of 22 on hand. Down to about 8K now.

Winchester 1200

I've got a Winchester 1200 that I think is pretty old, it has a 6 digit serial number 304*** . Had it around 22 years, and never hunted with it, but I have shot it a lot with zero issues. I've got a few SBR's, but no short barrel shotgun. I've heard the wait times are back around 5 months, and thoug...

Re: Apply now or wait for e-file to restart?

Wait times are about 4-5 months from what I'm seeing, and you can E file with a trust for form 1s right now, and its 20-40 days. I would absolutely file ASAP, no matter the system. Don't wait on E file. By the time E file comes up, you will most likely have your stamp, or at least be close to getti...

Re: Apply now or wait for e-file to restart?

So the wait times are back to 4 to 5 months?

I've not been on here for a while, but last I checked it was around 12 months. I have a shotgun, and a couple rifles I'd like to short barrel. Longest I've ever waited was 5 months back a couple years ago.

It's really depressing

Really depressing to think I've spent $600, and waited months for stamps just so I could have 3 short barrel AR's. Which in reality are totally useless except for the cool factor. Pre May of 1986 I could have spent the same money, waited a couple weeks instead of multi months, and had killer wicked ...

I let the complete upper pass, but last week I bought a Anderson stripped lower for $60, and found a CMMG parts kit for $40. Everything went together fine. I'm going to haunt Florida Gun Trader for an upper or parts. See if I can make an AR for $400 or less.

Re: How to register a can that will be inherited?

They transfer tax free and without CLEO on a form 5. I'm afraid a Form 5 does require CLEO certification, if it is being transferred to an individual. I've heard Hamilton County is tough on CLEO sign offs. My daughter lives just north in Fairfield which is Butler County. Thought about setting up a ...

Re: How to register a can that will be inherited?

Just make sure that the heir actually wants, and can legally receive, the items. I know a guy whose kids are not gun people, so willing his collection to them would be silly (especially since they live in ban states). I haven't explored this yet, but I'm sure an estate attorney would know a way for...

Re: How to register a can that will be inherited?

HE register it in his own name. It will then pass to you tax free on on form 5. Or you could use a trust. I have a 2 SBR AR's and one can. I told my daughter when I died she would have to turn the can in to the ATF, and ask the ATF about putting the AR's back to regular rifles. You saying she can t...

Anderson MFG. AR's

Anyone own one or shot one? I can pick up a NIB complete lower for $200 off a local dude in my area. I've got a couple AR's registered as SBR's, but kinda like the idea of having an AR off the books. Was thinking about using the lower to make a old school Viet Nam era style rifle. I've done a lot of...
