Re: 300 blackout rifle by Ruger

If you don't mind an over-sized action the Ruger seems like ... " sometimes"? Well drop it down a hillside and see how you feel. "Oversized" ...yet still under 6lbs. A 300bo bolt repeater with optic and suppresser can finally be UNDER 8 lbs. Fantastic win, IMO.

Re: Silencerco shotgun suppressor

They won't be very popular in the sporting clays / skeet world. Most of those shooters prefer O/U shotguns for weight balance and reliability. This tool doesn't appear compatible with an O/U or SxS shotgun. I'm also having trouble seeing a 3-gunner add 2lbs to the end of a high-speed shotgun... Upla...

That rifle is a heavy 5.56. My "light" rifle was a .17 fireball. Also shot HMR and .308 bolt guns.

That's a pretty damn heavy barrel. Yes, it is. Stag Arms, Model 6. With suppressor, optic, and bipod, the rifle is around 17lbs. It's GREAT for prairie dogs in Wyoming. Had a blast this past spring, but it's over gassed. Thanks for the info. Yikes, 17lbs! And yea, everything Stag makes is overgasse...

Dems sponsor bill for 20% tax on guns, 50% on ammo

[The bill would exempt all federal, state and local agencies, including police departments, from paying the tax.] Because "us vs. them" is how they see it. [The bill would also increase the transfer tax on all weapons (except antique guns) covered under the National Firearms Act from $200...

I'd be even more embarassed by the fact that my wife wouldn't take my last name. I don't know... maybe I'm too sensitive to that, but to me it really says a lot when a family can't even share a name. Hyphenations are just as bad, IMO......

1.5" groups at 100 yards using a bipod (no bench rest, sorry). My Model 10 cost under $800 and shoots 0.5 - 0.8 MOA all day long off my bipod. If I paid for a Savage that shot 1.5MOA, I'd be unhappy with my purchase. so for 0.5-.0.8 MOA are you shooting a) Hunting weight barrel or Heavy weight...
