Re: 7.62x39 improved

Many years ago, my friend came up with the covert line of cartridges when the 6.5 grendel was still a wildcat. For all practical purposes, his 30 covert is a 30 Grendel. It does everything you described for purpose above. The advantage of his is the ability to use modified off the shelf reloading di...

Re: Curtis Tactical ST45CFP Multi Use Suppressors are ready to go.

Being only 1.375" what kind of suppression are you seeing ? Not a lot of volume. Its really not a volume issue with 45 it is more of an issue of how well you can strip the gas away from the bore and trap it. Volume makes up for poor design. The suppressor has one blast baffle and six k baffles...

Happy 13th

Except the ATF quietly changed the deadline to the 12th.

It cost me 2 Suppressors being on my trust in time. My siblings are the only people on my trust, but we live in 4 different states, so the logistics are a nightmare.

Easily done

SSK industries, amongst others is doing these. 8 to 10 twist seems to work.

Re: Spec war 762 and 300 Norma magnum

When Henry Graham was still with Silencerco, I asked about it for my 300 Norma improved.

He said 300 RUM and 300 Lapua were easily handled, and I'd be more than happy with it.

Re: Best 45ACP Rifle/Carbine to suppress?

What about a 45 upper? Is that an option? Yes, .45ACP AR uppers are an option. Macon Armory makes them (and at least 1 other outfit). You'll need a magwell block adapter or a dedicated .45ACP lower as well since they are typically fed by USC or M3 magazines. http://www.maconarmory.com/ Rudy at Maco...

Re: Recommendations for a .338 Lapua can needed

We do custom big bore suppressors. We are working on three at the moment, they are all 4" reflex brake attach. The list we have in house right now is a 375 snipetac (perfect for 338 lapua), a 510 whisper, and a 458 sub sonic. I would be happy to discuss a custom built just for your needs, all ...

Re: 510 Whisper

I am also making the trek over to the big whisper. Where are you getting your brass made? I have used my harbor freight chop saw to cut the cases right behind the neck, but I have also used a copper tubing cutter with success as well. I then debur the case mouth, expand it to .508 to straighten the...

510 Whisper

I'm making my quest down the big whisper track. Looking for lots of info. I have the SSK load data. Any other data would be most helpful. I know guys are using WC680 as a great powder, but it seems like the sources for surplus have dried up. Anyone know of some for sale? Ranb's use of WC820 had me l...

my dealer has an MPX and a CZ scorpion in hand that are both already SBRed and ready for transfer.

I'm traveling with work, but I'm hoping to get there soon to handle.

I'll report back with my results.

Appreciate everyone's input

9mm SBR host help needed

I'm looking for first hand experience. I'm in the market for an SBR in 9mm. It will be shot suppressed 99% of the time. Options I've considered include: AR 9mm (glock or colt pattern magazine) CZ EVO Scorpion Sig MPX I'd like it to be brick reliable. As quiet or quieter than my Glock 17 host with wi...

Re: 45-70 Whisper loading

That looks like a nice set up.

How long is your barrel?

What twist is the barrel?

What reloading dies are you using?

How does it sound with the SSK suppressor?

Re: 45-70 Whisper 500 Grain Outlaw State Bullets Testing.

For those of you who would be interested to know here is the bullets I fired and recovered. I fired these out of a T/C encore chambered in 45-70 Whisper by SSK Industries. These are .458 500gr EXPANDING SUBSONIC HOLLOW POINT FLAT BASE from Outlaw State Bullets They were fired into 21 inches of wate...

A few questions about the upcoming new 45-70 capable suppressor

Will it disassemble for cleaning the baffles?

What barrel threads are planned?

I'm thinking about building two rifles around this suppressor, and answers to above will allow me to get parts ordered now so I can complete everything.

Anyone using powder coated cast bullets in a suppressor?

I found that Missouri cast bullets is offering 147gr 9mm bullets with the powder coating.

I'm going to work some up and see how that do in my take apart 9mm can.

If things look good, I'm considering trying them in a sealed can.

Curious if anyone has already tried this?

Take apart 45-70 suppressor options

Thinking about doing this or something similar

I'm wanting to use my heavy cast lead bpcr projectiles, so I'll need a can that I can disassemble for cleaning.
