Outsourcing for Threads
Anyone know of a good source for threading a piece 1/2x28? It will begin as a thread protector and may become an endcap later.

Re: New Breed of Muzzle Brakes
Looking at the Sig site:
SIG MPX-C - NFA Rules Apply
Carbine Variant - 6.5' barrel with 9.5" muzzle brake permanently attached - Semi-auto
Extended carbon fiber adaptable handguard
SIG MPX reflex sight included
That may settle it.

New Breed of Muzzle Brakes
With the ATF considering this a muzzle brake, do you think we will see manufacturers introduce "muzzle brakes" similar to this design? Or will the ATF reconsider what a "muzzle brake" is?

Pressure vs Heat vs ?
Why are some suppressors rated full auto for smaller calibers and s/a for larger? Like the sparrow - f/a okay for .22lr, s/a only for 5.7. Is it the pressures produced, the heat generated or something else?

Re: Ordering Metal Stock - Onlinemetals.com
What has been your experiences with Onlinemetals.com as far as quality of cuts they may have done for you, actual dimensions of the products, and general service provided? The metal I have bought from them has been fine. Their prices are high. What other reasonably priced vendors should I consider?

Anyone ever use these for threading tubes and end caps? How well do you think they'd work?

Is 4130 steel gtg for baffles/tubing for 5.56? How's the machinability and corrosion resistance for suppressor use? Thanks.

Re: Form 1 50bmg suppressor
Did some final steps cleaned up the end and bead blasted it. Ready to be coated! shot it a few more times and it is holding up well. Here it is next to my AAC M-2000 http://i1019.photobucket.com/albums/af311/jimmym40a3/12.jpg http://i1019.photobucket.com/albums/af311/jimmym40a3/10.jpg Simply awesom...

Re: Would these work?
Looks like that works out to 1.377 inches. 1.5 X .065 4130 tubing has a nominal ID measurement of 1.370. Would be a press fit but it might work. I have not priced ss freeze plugs but that seems kinda high. I bought a box of 10 regular high wall plugs for about 6 bucks from my local parts store. Wer...

Re: effect of a muzzlebrake inside a can?
Where did you get this? I built a thread-on F1 5.56mm suppressor that uses a Jet brake/mount. It was easier to buy this than make it, cost me about $90 and came with a collar to protect the threads when the cans not on the gun.. Threads on I.D. are 1/2-28 for .223, but they make 5/8" thread for...

Re: Will this thread on an AR?
Out of curiosity, can the 3 lugs not handle the 5.56 pressures, or are you saying a 9mm suppressor can't handle it? BTW, my intention is not to fire 5.56 through a 9mm suppressor.

Aluminum monocores and baffles
Is aluminum okay to use for monocores or baffles up to .45 caliber? If not, at what caliber is it best to start using steel? Thanks in advance.
