Re: Specwar or Saker

The SBR will be for a 300 BLK, 8.5"bbl and subsonic only. I have other rifles if I want supersonic. If the suppressor goes on another rifle in the future, it needs to be rated for the .308 Win I would definitely want to go with a muzzle brake. If the suppressor ends up going to 308, it'll make ...

Specwar or Saker

I’ll be building an SBR and need to order a Specwar or Saker as soon as possible. The SBR will have a 8.5” barrel and, for better or worse, I want to use a rifle length hand guard. This will mean the hand guard has to be taken off to remove the suppressor. This really isn’t much of an inconvenience ...

Re: Question for the pros

Even though both the 40 and 45 are subsonic, the 40 S&W will have much higher pressure than the 45 ACP In the Form 1s that I’ve built, higher pressure made the baffles work better These were 22 mono-cores but they worked much better on pistols than rifles Matter of fact, they worked excellent on...

Question for the pros

If you had 3 quality suppressors. One for the 9mm, one for the 40S&W, and one the 45ACP 3 identical handguns. Say 3 full size M&Ps chambered for the 9, 40 and 45 Would the 40S&W be the best to suppress with off the shelf ammo? The 9mm would be supersonic without loading your own or buyin...

40 S&W suppressed

I’m getting a custom shop put together. Leather products such as slings, belts, etc but also building custom 1911s. Just like many other small businesses, a niche market approach seems to be the best way. I would like to concentrate on 9mm Commanders. Colt has been making them for decades and there ...

daviscustom Damn, you’re right. I have a number of Form1s and Form 4s. All my guns, cans, equipment, etc.. are moved into storage because of possible flooding. There’s no way I could verify with paperwork. Are you sure diameter isn’t needed? I ’m certain I always include diameter eastern-hunter Damn...

Re: Newbie ... thinkin' about it

I’ve built a few Form 1s Answers to questions; 1) All of it 2) All of my Form 1s and Form 4s are on a Trust. The same with many other people. No problem 3) 4) Call engravers in the phonebook. Most just do trophies and such, others can only do flat surface engraving. Make sure you ask the engraver if...

Re: My first attempt at a monocore 7.62

Why not go with 60% cones at .06 thick. You could then spend time designing the flash suppressor part. Some may not put too much effort into the FH but it will prevent bore erosion at the muzzle You could also research baffle spacing, blast chamber length, materials, welding, etc… I build mono-cores...

Re: Netanyahu: Israel Will Always Be Pro-American

Maybe Netanyahu should tell Obama the United States has to move to its original borders Say, the original thirteen colonies. Surely the Indians wouldn’t object Of course they would still want their welfare and casinos America won’t be Israel’s friend then I think you’re right, God will destroy the U...

Re: best 22lr ar-15 SBR upper

I’ve found the Nordic NC-22 upper to be the most reliable 22 upper out there You will need to have the barrel removed and shortened. While they’re at it, the barrel can be threaded with the right relief Also, you can put the same hand guard as your 5.56 on the Nordic I’m in the process of moving and...

Re: So is BHO's re-election over after his Israel comments?

Should the United States go back to what border in what year Do we give back land to France or Spain? How about we give it all back to the Indians? The West Bank never did belong to Jordan and it was never recognized as such. Jordan had an illegal occupation of the area but lost it after two wars wi...

Re: Looking at milling machines

You might want to consider a Taig. I bought one about 6 months ago and couldn’t be more pleased After using Chinese machines, the Taig is great. Precision and quality more than makes up for the little extra money it cost I do think a dovetail is needed and the Taig has it I bought the Model 2019ER f...

Can you assemble and sell custom ARs or 1911s without ITAR?

What else is needed? A type 7 FFL or Class 2 SOT or both?
Is anything else needed?

Re: Integral Form 1 question

The removable barrel is the sticky part

The host will be a Ruger 10/22. The barrel can easily be removed and installed on any receiver
This would make the whole thing(barrel and tube) a suppressor

Re: Integral Form 1 question

I’m looking at doing an integral myself. Do you put the tube length as the suppressor length or the length of the barrel since the barrel is the suppressor? What I’m considering using is a 16.5” barrel with the tube coming back over the barrel 11” The barrel will have slant baffles cut into it The t...

Re: What tools needed to build a monocore???

I’ve built a number of 1.5 OD aluminum mono-core suppressors
All I use is a 10x20 lathe and a Taig mini milling machine

It would be nice to have large lathe. I have plans on getting a big one
The mini milling machine is more than big enough for aluminum but a nice big one would be better for steel
