Question about M203 and URX rails

So I have a Colt M4 upper which I was planning on chopping down the FSB and putting a URX 3.1 on, but I also want to make sure I can still use my M203 with KAC QD mount. I have everything apart right now but I just noticed a couple things. 1) The top half of the rail covers the M4 cutout, which is g...

URX II/III Barrel Nut

Anyone know where I can find these for sale? I have a couple URX 3.1's that I need to move to some new hosts and I'm all out of nuts!

Re: Ranger 3

I am assuming the general specs for it (length/weight) are approximately the same as the R2, correct? No,the Ranger 3 is 13.8 OZ 6" long adds 4.2" to the host gun Sounds better than a Ranger 2 but not as good as an M4-2000. This is because the Ranger 3 is shorter than the M4-2000 (less vo...

Re: RAS or URX FF Rail Inside Diameter

Never mind. Looks like it's 1 3/8". Not big enough for this suppressor unfortunately.

RAS or URX FF Rail Inside Diameter

I'm trying to find out what the inside diameter is of these rails. I'm looking at a potential project that would require seating a suppressor under the rail. The suppressor in question has a diameter of 1.5".

Would someone mind measuring theirs and reporting back?

Much appreciated.

SR-15 E3 Price?

Is $1,900 a good price on a new SR-15 E3?

I really want to get one and so far this is the lowest price I've found on a new one.

TIA!

Re: M4QD/QDSS-NT4 Transitional Can Problems?

Dude, Predator, honestly, it looks awesome two tone like that. Enjoy it! Mine finally got a approved, so I'm hoping to finally get some use out of it shortly. About time! We need to go out together and shoot em side by side. Also, you need to put some full auto abuse through yours anyway... :mrgree...

Re: M4QD/QDSS-NT4 Transitional Can Problems?

The finish is normal. You can repaint with a higher temp paint or BBQ grill paint if it bothers you. The latch should not be that hard to operate. See if it breaks in a bit and look for any abnormal wear marks , burs or high spots. Cool, thanks! I'll keep playing with it then and not worry about th...

M4QD/QDSS-NT4 Transitional Can Problems?

Fairly recently I picked up a QDSS-NT4 which is actually marked M4QD. I've been told that this is one of the "transional cans" between the older M4QD and the newer QDSS-NT4 type can. So far I really like the can, but there are a couple issues that I just want to verify if it's normal and t...

Since the OP, I've come to find out that KAC had some "transitional" M4QD's that were built with QDSS-NT4 components. I think that must be what I have since it looks exactly like a QDSS-NT4, with the exception of the M4QD marking. Now I'm just hoping this new can has inconel baffles. :? I ...

M4QD/QDSS-NT4 Mix up?

Hi Everyone, I just ran into an interesting little problem that I would like to get some feedback on. Back in July 09' I ordered up a "KAC QDSS-NT4" (I'm not going to mention from who), for $1,500. The can was transferred to my FFL/SOT on form 3 and on the form the model was marked "Q...

I just put another QD kit on another Colt upper I have, a 14.5" R0977 upper. This one I did at .062 and lined it up perfectly at 12 o'clock, but I only torqued it to 21 ft/lbs. If I torqued it more it would have gone past 12 o'clock obviously. So now I have an upper with a very thin shim setup ...

Actually now I'm a bit curious about something else... When you say "as long as it's timed right", what if it wasn't? I mean what if I had the shims let's say at a thickness of .040, torqued the flash hider to 30 ft/lbs which put the middle slot at 3 o'clock instead of 12 o'clock. Now when...

KAC QDSS-NT4 Shim Question

Quick question about the install I just did. I put a KAC QD flash hider on a Colt 11.5" commando barrel and because the instructions said to use as little a number of shims as possible, I ended up using the .015 and .008 shims for a total of .023. I basically went with the lowest number of shim...

Alright thanks. You know I'm going to have to wait on the form 4 anyway, so I guess I should just nut up and SBR the lower at the same time. I'm probably going to shoot the NT4 mostly on my RR (M16A1 with 6933 11.5" upper), but I wanted to also be able to throw it on my LE6921 upper which I am ...

ETA: Will those two mentioned flash hiders work with the QDSS-NT4?

KAC QDSS-NT4 Pinning Question

Does anyone know how far forward I would need to "shim" the NT4's QD flash hider to pin on a Colt 14.5" LE6921 barrel to make it a legal 16"? Also what would you recommend I use to shim it forward? A couple peel washers? I don't know if you could do two crush washers... Maybe a c...

NT4 QD Flash Hider Question

I'm sure this has been asked a lot, but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere so I figured I'd just ask myself. Sorry if this is a newbie question that you get a lot! Anyway I am trying to find out if the current production KAC QD Flash Hider is long enough to bring a Colt 14.5" M4 barrel to...
