Re: SDN-6 work for .30-06?
150 grain .308 gives 2,648 ft·lb while 150 grain .30-06 gives 2,820 ft·lb. It's close but I'm pretty sure that AAC would say no...and personally I would be a little spooked with an expensive can and rifle.

Re: Newb looking for a multi gun suppressor
Ok guys I think I will take some solid advice and get a dedicated .22 silencer. Then when I look for a larger can I'll stop by Liberty for that... I think I'm going to break it down to either: Specter II and Sparrow SS. time to start digging into those two a bit more in depth =) I think you are mak...

Re: NFA Trust Finalized! Time to buy something!
I am a fan of my local shop...I have been very lucky walking in and finding them under the glass...but with that being said This is not the norm...You can wait months and months for a silencer to come into your shop while you could have have finished your transfer from silencershop and your form fou...

This is exactly what I was thinking...the muzzle brake was amazing on my mk18 until I got my can and it didn't fit.DesertRat wrote:Any hope that AAC will produce a 1/2X28 5.56 brake in this configuration?
I would really like to run a brake on my 10.3" barreled gun.

Re: Factory DDMK18 upper and AAC 51T muzzle brake question..
Two shim kits as in the entire kit?? My pack of shims has 6 inside? One full shim kit totals to .095 and that seems excessive.....it would be visible as well....kinda hoping for a better solution than stacking 12 shims or even 6 shims for that matter... Two entire kits will make it work. Hopefully ...

I would buy lots of mags and receivers lol...
I don't think NFA will be effected by the ban...it's too much of a money maker and it is very well regulated already.
of your choices I would go with the host...and a lot of mags.

They announced one last year at Shot...but I think they concentrated on building silencers this year. I know they ceased production on their 10/22s...I hope that the 3 lug doesn't go the same way.

PB penetrating oil is great...spray it on and let it sit. I only put 50 rounds through my prodigy yesterday and it seized up...I was letting others shoot it and lost the round count.
