Sure, basic politics 101....The lobbyist pays for legislation (or lack thereof) through funding/donations and perks to the lawmaker. Re: 9mm baffles
Probably because there is a radius in the normally straight 60 degree cone..Ergo, radial. I'm using the description provided by the machinist making the part. AND possibly, because that would be a name of a suppressor part, not a Radial Storage-Cup  . But, whatever. I, however am intrigued th...

Re: 9mm baffles
K baffles is what you need. Why not radials? That"s what SilencerCo uses. They have arguably some of the most impressive numbers. Most guys without cnc or a lathe tracer can't do radials at home. Plus k's are pretty well defined in the hobby world. Won't see too many frustocone dimensions out ...

I make them in large qty runs, (zmachineworx) Are your 'fence post endcaps' for sale? Yes they are. my goal is to make it as easy as possible to have a high quality parts that you can finish without the need for expensive equipment (which is why i clipped mine with handtools) Hey there Poolshark, N...

Thanks for the input, WhiteRussian. You are correct it is 303 SS. Both my form 1's were approved today (less than 90 days on a trust). I'm waiting on my tubes from DM. They say his work is worth the wait.

JMPF or TYCA Maglite Stainless cups reviews
Does anyone here have real world reviews of the 316 Stainless Maglite cups by JMPF or TYCA industries in the 0.995 in. and the 1.340 in. size. I'm thinking of using them in an 8 in. long Titanium tube. The 0.995 for rimfire, and the 1.340 in. for supersonic use (.357 lever action)- .308 and down (wi...

Just me, but I would not use any type of glove that would not tear away free and fast. The nitrile gloves will rip away fast. You do not want a Kevlar glove getting caught on anything spinning and suck your hand into the lathe.....

Re: Form 1 10/22 Integral Suppessor
This may be a long-shot (and I think the overall non-suppressed barrel length should be fine), but have you tried to fire something like a stinger 22 lr yet? I know that shooting hyper/super-sonic 22 lr out of my short walther barrel makes the rounds sub/trans-sonic. I wonder if the ammunition in th...

Re: Due Process dies, Oregon Bill most dangerous law ever proposed
I imaging a law like this, would become like the witch hunts and trials. I would think many folks would call in and report all the Oregon police on a monthly basis. There would be no one to enforce the law.......then again, I'm sure they (the police and politicians) would be exempt.

Legal question about Corps and Trusts
Okay bear with me, I'm not a lawyer, but here is a thought of mine (and forgive me if this has been discussed here before). So...In 2010 the Supreme court (in a five-to-four decision), overturned the century-old restrictions on corporations, unions and other interest groups from using their vast tre...

Re: Less felt recoil with suppressor? Or is it in my head?
I think a suppressor is the best muzzle brake in the world....The suppressor does the same thing as a muzzle brake, it redirects the expanding gas to the sides, and backwards (just like a muzzle brake). I think this does more to the "pulse length/s" and spreads the pulse out more with resp...

Re: What is on the end of the silencer that killed Bin Laden
Ever fall down in the sand and plant a rifle, have a sandstorm blast the color off the weapon, or have a helo "dust-off" in the sand such that everything is filled with sand (I have)? I'm a-thinkin' this just keeps the yuck out of the rifle, and can be shot through if need be (although a n...

Re: Working with a little 7 x 12 lathe
It sucks, but make a "stop sign" out of 1in square tube. Drill holes at 120 degrees, weld nuts around the holes, and use brass thread (or tap some brass to go over your threaded rod). Mount the stop sign to the base (I had a broken rest I used), and thread away...... http://gadgetbuilder.c...

Only thing that bugged me: The sound is wrong...i.e. I would hear the shot BEFORE I saw the recoil or signature of the shot. Must be an editing issue??????

Re: What tools are needed with the mini lathe?
I have to disagree tha the 7x14 is too small of a machine to make a suppressor. Albiet the minimum lathe needed. They are great to learn on, and crashing tools is a little less expensive. I have to include that I am NOT a machineist, just a guy with a mini-lathe. Stainless requires many LIGHT cuts, ...

Re: WTF are they doing now
So...I watched the episode (I Know, I know but it is the whole “watching a train wreck thing”). Anyhow, the meter was placed between the two rifles and the shots were then "metered." I am not a sound guy, but I know that the means to measure sound is a function of both distance from the so...
