Stickman is usually always right when I comes to Magpul stuff. Also, I don't think they have a prayer in a Military contract. Not with this administration. Lots of cuts... Jeremy Lucky guesses on my part. As far as any military contracts, I think there is more to it than simply an anti-military adm...

A "silencer shoot"? That's an oxymoron in this state, given the ridiculous nature of the law here concerning silencers/suppressors. I wish there was some momentum to change it.

My 762SD arrived at my dealers last week. Now I can start waiting on the ATF. Thanks 700PSS for letting me shoot your rig at the shoot. It was so quiet on your 16" 223 it was amazing. Very fun set up. Congrats :!: I know you'll love it too. The 762-SD may be the all-around, best rifle silencer...

Nagging curiosity: AAC - why 2 different QD mounts?

Why isn't the ratchet mount universal accross the QD line of suppressors? In particular, why didn't the SCAR series of cans get the new mount (Are the smaller cogs of the ratchet mount too prone to damage)?

I've always been curious: why don't the SCAR cans mploy ratchet mount? Is there some sort of durability issue w/ the finer teeth used in that system?

They are pretty light -- even the sniper version. Which is a good choice. The special forces guys generally shoot in semi and do not melt barrels. That's interesting. I thought I saw what looked like a heavier bbl. on ver. 2 prototype compared to ver. 1, so I was thinking FN had gone a slightly hea...

Robert,

Any chance the 762SD might incorporate the ratchet mount in future developments?

Did AAC change something? That mount in the photo looks like the one meant for the .223 can, not the 7.62

That last picture shows what I was talking about. The cheeck piece looks like it is in a raised position. The front of the cheek piece is above the top rail. If the cheeck piece was lowered back to the level shown in the first picture, would the cheek piece then be level? Jason They aren't the same...

Not trying to hijack the thread but what makes flash hiders work in the first place? I read once that they allow too much air to mix with the burning gasses essentially creating a fuel/air ratio that is to lean to continue burning. Can anyone confirm or deny this theory or explain, mechanically, wh...

"Unfortunately, the 3rd-gen prototype uses a sloped cheekpiece rather than the flat cheekpiece of gen-2" Question about this, and I'm saying this from posted photos, I have not seen one of these in person or handled one. Is the 3rd gen cheek piece really that slanted. The pic I've seen po...

Unless I missed something & green diodes have been perfected, you're not going to find a weapons-grade solid-state green laser aimer on the market. All the ones I've seen use a splitting crystal to yield the green spectral color. I've got a LD OTAL w/ ARMs mount, & it throws a nice, bright r...

I'm coming into this late, but I recently received a Heritage safe, model TL5672 (The difference between the TL & the top-tier CL model seems to be prmiarily cosmetic, since the functional features are identical), w/ which I'm very pleased. I did a lot of research on this - about 6 mos worth - b...
